New member with 6 posts still can't post elsewhere?

I posted 2 new threads and 4 replies to others in this forum, but I'm still locked out of other forums... Any idea what I'm missing?

Patience Grasshopper! Once you reach the required plateau for posting, the magic still has to be performed in the background via the server cron jobs. Account upgrades usually happen around 25 minutes after the hour.

I'd love to play your "win free stuff" game... but even though I've been a registered user on the Forums for several months, the only place I can post is in the "I am a New User" section.

So kind of a stupid game to broadcast to the general public via the CASAA newsletter if only the select few are eligible to play.

There are very good reasons for initially limiting posting privileges to the New Members forum, spam being the big one. And yes, the 10 million post contest also includes posts made in New Members.
