New member with cotton wicks

Need help,have been making eroll cotton wicks, but, have pulled out the little metal mesh thing? Is it necessary for it to function? Or is it just to hold the silica that comes with the atomizer? I have a picture if it but can't post a picture. Thanks!!!

while I don't have a e-roll it's very similar to the old style 510 atties and cartridges. What we old school modders did was remove the cotton it the cartridge and swap it for a cut piece of the blue fish tank filter size U. It was dirt cheap and worked a hell of a lot better then cotton for those applications. As for the metal that is in the atomizer that is called a bridge. Some people liked it de-bridged and others found it hit terrible. It's worth giving a try and if all else fails get a new atomizer.

easiest way to upload pics of questions (or nonsense like armored guinea pigs)

1. go to TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting

2. select your jpg file and correct size (not too small or we can't see it), then select upload (may have to watch an ad and then enter a code given at end of ad)

3. copy and paste the IMG code into the body of your post (I also paste it into a dedicated "tinypic image" notepad doc with a description in case I ever need to post it again)
