Hi, I have just joined. Purchased Blu Starter Kit 3 months ago and have been analog free ever since. However, I am having some very annoying issues with both the batteries and the cartridges. I got 2 batteries in the kit which have already been replaced once by the very nice customer service rep. While it is all well and good that they seem to be great about shipping out replacement product at no charge, I would much prefer to have an e-cig "system" that works. The 2 batteries that they send to replace are now not working properly. The last time I ordered cartridges, I ordered 2 sets of 4 packs (w/5 cartridges in each pack) and at least 1/3 of these cartridges gave me one or two puffs and then did not "draw". I tried everything including using a freshly charged battery (I purchased an additional 2 white batteries) and this did not help. I charge most times plugging right into the wall so it is not a battery pack issue although I don't know how well that works either. Quite frankly, this is so annoying it almost drives one back to the analogs!! Does anyone have a suggestion of a good brand of e-cigs? Preferably, I would like one that does provide white batteries w/tan cartridges as I want to "simulate" as closely as possible an actual analog cig. I would move to try the Blu 100's since the claim to have a better battery/charging system but they only come in black. As it is, I feel like I am vaping a ball point pen, and having a black battery really does not help. So, I am looking for good battery life, good cartridge fill and something with a pack that will allow me to charge while on the road. Right now, I am looking at one of the black replacements that Blu sent me free of charge it is has a continuous blu light on the end...it is not shutting off. I don't mind "managing" the charging system and now have 4 batteries, battery pack and 3 USB's w/wall converter so that I always have 3 batteries plugged into wall. Anyone have any experience w/the V2 E cigs? They seem to get a good write-up in reviews.

I also started off with Blu Kits ( bought 3 of them for my wife and I) all 3 kits pooped out in less than 3 months. The refills were just as expensive as ciggies.... I then went to eGo style batteries and had 3 of those (2 of them died in 1 month) I then went to a Vamo3 unit, it got dropped and died, Finally I purchased an SVD (iTaste) and its been bliss.... I had purchased 2 Protanks (1 for me& the wife) and they were nothing but trouble.... found some CE8 SS tanks and they are working wonderfully. I upgraded to an HCigar 3.1 kayfun clone and an RSST tank... once again vaping bliss

if you want to save yourself the learning curve expenditures, go ahead and consider getting an SVD and a decient tank setup. The initial cost isnt too bad about 150 for everything... but it sure beats spending 300 to get to the same thing eventually..

The ciga-likes are designed to keep you spending more than you need to.. especially the refills.

Smokeless Image has a decent product for the cig-a-likes but has to be bought online. You will likely get a lot of responses to move forward but if you truly want that style, those are the best ones out there.

If you want a solution to your issue, it sounds like your battery and carto (the filter part) are not making a connection; or at least not a good one. The connection point on the filter part is the center pin and can be wiggled (gently and not too far) with a pair of pliers or a small screw driver. The filter tip doo hickeys are of poor build quality and they never really work right. You may also want to think about cleaning your battery connection (where it is threaded) and the inside of the filter tip where it is threaded with rubbing alcohol. You don't need to drown it but it may help.

Look around for other options or the ones that are suggested here ^ and below but you will find that nothing is without issue to someone and what some people like, others hate. It is best to try some things yourself and when you find something you like, continue to use it until you are ready to move up.

Sadly, this is where these companies get you.

Multiple batteries and chargers. Endless refills. Large amounts of cash thrown at "old tech"/high price nonsense.

It's time for it to stop. I am very sorry every time I hear these stories. A UK brand took me for £200+. The entire experiment only helped me cut down 20% in my smoking.

I bought a £40 EGO kit.... 3 days later, I quit smoking, forever.

From my limited experience, I would recommend a Kanger T3S with 1100 mah battery. 18 bucks and free shipping. They vape well with decent flavor, hold a lot of juice, reliable and easy to use. And you can get a white one:) Either that or just get a Provari
