I was going to post a reply in the "Older Folks and vaping Front Porch - Part 2," topic after reading though many of the 863 post, yet I see that I'm not welcomed anywhere but here. So I will post that reply here for what its worth them I will politely leave. I feel sure I can find another place where I will be welcomed.

I’m 67 & been smoking for many years. My first smoking was sticks. I forget what kind but there was one kind that did pretty good. I suppose that was prior to age 10. Them I started slipping a couple of Have A Sweets Cigars out of my parents store at a time. I would climb up in a tall sweet gun tree at our property line. Set there smoking watching people come & go to our store. It was quite enjoyable being up there smoking a cigar watching everyone & knowing that no one knew I was anywhere around. That was one of my favorite hiding spots! And I kept this to myself, friends would come over & play with me but I never shared my smoking tree with them. Yes, me & my friends would slip off & smoke but not in ‘My Tree!”

And I always kept 2 cigar there at my favorite spot close to the top of that tree. I had some nail nailed into the tree & would leave my cigars on them. I feared getting a pack of cigarettes thinking they might miss them, plus keeping an open pack of cigarettes up there in that tree the weather would get to them & ruin them.

Never will forget when a tornado come though & blew my smoking tree down, sure did miss it!

In the 10th grade I started playing football & quite my smoking, them after football season in my senior years I started smoking cigarettes. My favorite cigarettes have always been Marlboro. Through the years I have smoked other brands but would quickly go back to Marlboros. And when I say Marlboros I’m thinking of Marlboro Reds. Them lights never did count as cigarettes to me.

I did quit once back in the 70’s while driving a truck cross country. I guess I stayed off of them for about 3 months. Them one night about midnight I left out for a 2nd morning delivery in California. I knew I was going to have to keep my drivers door closed in order to make my delivery time. As I left town I stopped at our local EZ-Mart going in buying a large coke. When standing there paying for it the little packs of Swisher Sweet Cigars caught my eye. So I bought a pack of them. On that trip I smoked 3 of them going out, & none coming back home. The next trip I made I smoked the other two. Them before leaving out for my next trip I bought one of those packs of cigars that looks much like cigarettes. Them on my next trip I got myself a pack of Marlboros. Them I was back on them.

Early this year I got a lung infection, it was pretty bad & for about a week I could hardly breath. Them it started getting better & I just left the cigarettes out of my life. Them one day I went back to my cigarette store to see what kind of e-cig they had. They had two brands, I don’t remember what the other brand was but I tried the Blu. And I smoked them for about 3 weeks or so.

Them last week I stopped in at the new Le Cig store on Wednesday. I bought one of their H2 Express kit, & a bottle of juice called Reds that has 12 MG of nicotine. I did not care that much for it, but I used it. Today I went back bought a bottle of USA Blend with 24 MG of nicotine. That was the only USA he had. Le Cig list 3 different USA made blends, he said he would soon have the other 2 pretty soon. He just recently opened up.

I believe if I had to keep using that Red I would have probably gone back to Blu, but I like this one fairly well. And as the day goes on I’m liking it better. Also today I bought an extra battery, so I may stay with this. But when he gets the other two America brands in I will try them.

Oh, on Thursday I went to a small town north of us to get a hair cut, I can get my hair cut there for $7.00, here at my hone town it will cost at least $12.00 if not more. And as usual I went to a convenience store getting a cup of coffee after that to drink on the way back home. I noticed they had e-cigs, & justice that said it was made from American tobacco in a cabinet by the cash register. If I get back up that way I might try what they've got. I feel much better using American made than that which is ship into our country.

Well, not to discourage "buy American" but in this case, vaping was invented by the Chinese. I think (personal opinion) our e-liquid industry is better but most all the devices are Chinese made. And many are very well done. I've become a big Innokin fan. I think they do good work.

Most of the USA made devices are high end and on the pricey side. Like the Provari. Owners rave about them but they ain't cheap. Definitely not in my budget I'm afraid...

How sad... op seems like such an interesting poster. Dear OPthere are over 200K members on ECF it is hardly picking on you.

You seem intelligent so I am surprised that you took it personal and did not review the rules that you agreed to when you joined.

Why even make an initial post if you had already decided that you were not going to come back here?

I'm a new guy too. I am dying to post amessage on another forum but unfortunately have to get my 5 posts in. I have been smoking cigars and vaping has switched me off almost immediately. The starter kit was expensive, but no more than buying a couple bundles of cigars from XXXX.

Well, it's just five posts and replies in threads count so you'll get there fast.

Once you've been around a while, you'll see the point. ECF is the 900 pound gorilla of the online vape world. Google anything vape related, ECF is top of list or close to it. Spammers would sell their grandmothers to ride those coattails! So the mods try to keep the spammers corralled here so they don't just run amok all over the place.
