Low Resistance Magnum Atomizers

If that doesn't work, go to the Phidias Woodimus page. I wouldn't snooze if I were you, they were introduced at vapefest and are the talk of the town. My original order was for 5. I ordered 10 more yesterday.

Thanks for the link, Switched....I may have to give these low Resistance attys a try...I like the option...a bit pricey, though.

Definitely nice to know about it.

I have had mine for about 2 months, and do like it a lot, just wish they sent extra springs with it, had to order a replacement spring, and the pkg. came in with the button and a screw which I didn't need. Does anyone know where you can buy just the springs alone, would like to invest, just in the spring it self. The pkg was a bit pricey.

It would be nice to get just the springs but  , in the mean time, for approx 7 dollars ea usd you could simply pick this up? :

Nice to have the set in case, y'know...there could come a time when you'll need the button.

The batteries that came with my Screwdrivers say LIR 123A 3.6V 1000mAh (Lithiom Ion Rechargeable?). I need to order extras. Can anyone tell me what my options are? I don't know if these are protected (they don't say protected but there is a ridge on the positive end). If they aren't protected, will protected batts fit? Does it matter since it only uses 1 battery? I thought the sd used a cr123 batt. Don't know what the "A" in 123A means. Newb here, obviously. I had no idea how complicated batts were. Everything about e-cigs has a big learning curve, it seems. I want to get it right. Help?

Well I'm going to make it even more complicated for you.

If you have the original SD, which I believe you do, your battery is a 16340 LIR 123a @ 3.6V 1000 mAh.

The MKII comes with a 18350 @ 3.7V 1200 mAh

Are they interchangeable I don't know.? <---- Duh answered my own question.

The important number to remember is the first set which stand for the diameter and length. e.g 16mm x 34mm and 18mm x 35mm respectively.

To my knowledge, both are protected as SD only uses protected batteries in the ir devices. Make sure when you do buy on line that it states protected.

i am thinking that the gold buttons will be the new LOCKING type for the SDmk1 & 2...
i mk1 and mkll batts are not interchangable per trog. ecigscrewdriver.com is the place for good answers to any SD questions.

and as i was sitting in my garage, i looked across the floor i saw a spring, i picked it up, and it is 3 times as long as the SD button spring and the same dia. weird thing is i dont know where it came from. so i`ll be set for spring, and i have tattoo machines that have silver sculls for speed adjustment (some people have dice), i`ll have to make the threads different, then i`ll have a jewled eyed silver sculled SD hehehe

Thanks for that. The batts that came w/ the SD (MK1) are not marked "protected". Isn't there a new format batt that is protected by design? I ordered: LIR 3.6V CR123A Batteries (2-Pack) HOVET
Item# 0722 AND UltraFire 3.0V/3.6V CR123A Charger LITTSVIK
Item# 1236 from Deal Extreme. The batts look identical to the ones that came with the SD kit, but I haven't received them yet.

Your charger is no good for them.

A 3.7V batt charges to 4.2V so 3.6/7 volt batts require the 4.2V charger.

The 3.6/7V charger is for the 3V cr2s, which will typically charge to 3.6/7V. Yeah I know, it's confusing as hell.

Nothing bad will happen using the charger on 3.7V batts, they won't ahve a full charge and the usable power greatly reduced.

On the other hand using a 4.2V charger to charge 3V cr2s can lead to a serious OVERCHARGE incident

Do I understand you both correctly? I need a 4.2v charger for my 3.6v batteries if I want a full charge AND the batteries I ordered are not protected?

Ok, I put in a change request on my order (I hope in time) and got what you each recommended. Thank you so much. If I was too late, should I return the items or just order the new but still use the old as well?

Did you order protected? and change the order for the charger as well?

Welcome to Battery University

A little reading for you. Exams 15 Apr ;)

There is a lot to know to use Li Ion batts safely, not to know becomes columns in newspaper and forums.

The sad thing is I've read a lot of that stuff already and I'm still not confident. And I graduated Summa Cum Laude! I ordered DealExtreme: $5.08 Ultrafire 3.6V 880mAh LC 16340 Protected CR123A Battery 2-Pack AND DealExtreme: $8.04 AC/Car Lithium Battery Charger for 16340 (100V~240V/12~24V). The charger charges to 4.2v. It's what came up when I searched and seems to fit your criteria, but I was hurrying to change my order before it shipped so I hope I didn't miss anything. I think I'll look over your links again. Thanks!

You did the right thing by asking first. Sometimes though folks are in a hurry to order things. Does the charger have a capability to plug into AC as well, or do you plan on sitting in your car when they charge?

AG-126 Lithium Ion Battery Charger

The info on the battery sites is indeed confusing. I am extremely cautious when it comes to batteries. I have a tendency of relying on whatever the vendor sells, vice unknown places.

Oh, crap. I thought it was both cause it said AC/car charger and the description says US Plug. BUT, the picture only shows a car charger. I'm hoping the unit itself has one of those drop-down AC plugs on it.

Rumor has it something close to it is on it's way to me.

...if/when it comes....I'll post up the actual pics.

Well the mailman came and I am now the proud papa of 2 SDs. A silver and a gold. I am not to fussy with the gold, but it was free so I'm not about to look a gift horse in the mouth.

I ordered it with the mini RN4075/901. A little mild compared to a 510, but I had an adapter and the 510 works well with it. The 510 wil be the atty of choice during the day.

However, I see the 901 as being the atty for my morning vape with my coffee and during the evening.
