I am a newbie to vaping, but I just got an NPRO 3 days ago and the thing is barely vaping. Battery is charged, I tried 2 different carts. and it hits very little once in a while. It's like sucking on a clogged straw. if i leave it alone for a while, it will hit once ( not very well), and then not work again. No vapor, no throat hit. I really want this to work so I can try to kick analogs, but so far the experience has been non-existant. Any advice? Am I doing something wrong? YouTube vids show tons of vapor!

Chances are, your cartridges are too dry. Without a bottle of juice, you're not going to get much out of any e-cig. Pick up a bottle of juice, and fill your carts. Until your juice arrives, you can get a bottle of Vegetable Glycerin at any CVS or Walmart in the skin care section, or a small bottle of Wiltons Glycerin from Michaels Crafts, in the Baking Section. A couple of drops in your cart should give you a good vapor. Hit will come with the juice.

The Njoy Npro is a model 4081, and parts are inexpensive. Should you decide to keep it, there is a specific forum at;
RN 4081 *Super Mini* - e-cigarette-forum.com • The place for electronic cigarette reviews, news and chat

Another possibility is that you have a bad atomizer. NJOY only sends you one in the starter kit and they do eventually go bad. You can order extras very inexpensively from China Wholesale & Retail Best E-smoking Supplier. I would also order extra batteries.

Search for parts for the RN4081.

Meanwhile, call NJOY customer service. They might be willing to send you a new atomizer.

Chris, I started off with a 4081 and there is a learning curve.

I relate the atty's relationship with juice to sex. There is usually only two problems: too little or too much.

Is the atty too dry, or did you flood it?

To see if it is too dry, drop a couple of drops directly onto the atty bridge and let it soak in. Are you vaping now? That was the problem.

If that didn't do it, is it flooding? Well, do you hear any gurgling? If so or if not, blow it out well on a tissue or paper towel.

Now try a drop on the atty bridge. In fact this is called dripping and the way that many of use our 4081s.

If you are having trouble sucking on it, it is probably flooded.

If neither of these work, look at hardware. Does the other battery fully charged make any difference? How about another atty, do you have a spare? If not, you will need one (or three).

Finally, more on the learning curve. Are you giving the atty time between puffs to wick up more juice from the cart? If you are going to use carts rather than drip that model, I would recommend that you use a thin juice such as JC (Johnson Creek) and find a mod here on the forum called the straw mod. Much better wicking that way!

I ordered menthol carts when I bought the NPRO. It's not just plug and play???
I thought I would try carts before dripping.

Is the NPRO not the best choice for me?

Does it give a good throat hit if the atomizer is working ok?

P.S. NJOY will send me a new atomizer. I hope that's the problem. I really want this to work!!!

Winter is coming and I don't want to have to freeze in the garage anymore!

I've been using the NJOY NPRO and I'm satisfied with the amount of vapor. I don't want to be sitting in a huge cloud of vapor, because there are times when I want to be a little "stealthy" about what I'm doing to avoid unwanted attention (e.g., at my desk at work.)

If you want volumes of vapor, add a drop of vegetable glycerin (VG) to your cartridge or order juice that is VG-based insted of the usual PG.

Oh, and the best way to get throat hit is this: First take a puff of vapor and hold it in your mouth for several seconds, then breathe in.

You will also get more nicotine this way, because the nicotine is mostly absorbed from the mouth and throat (buccal mucosa) rather than from the lungs.

Unfortunately, this is new technology and no, on the 4 models I own, none were really plug and play. But we can get them purring on here, usually.

Yes, it will give you a pretty good throat hit.

However, I don't think you will find many on here who would recommend the 4081 as a starter for a newbie. That would be the 901, 510, 401 or Vaperking (forgot that number..lol)

As someone pointed out, you'll need extra parts as all PV parts are consumables.

Yes, it is a satisfying substitute. At first I tried just using it (very) occasionally. But analogs seemed more satisfying.

I had to have some dental surgery on March 27 and was told no smoking for 2 days afterwards. Obviously, chewing nicotine gum would not be a good idea with an injured mouth either. So I went abstinent for two days. Spent most of that time sleeping. On day three I started vaping and left the analogs alone, except for a very occasional puff now and then.

After a while a) I couldn't stand the taste of analogs any more and b) I had no cravings. I don't even experience craving for the e-cigarette. I have to remind myself to use it. I can tell when I need to, because I start getting forgetful and catch myself making stupid mistakes.
