want something with overcharge protection, and perhaps variable voltage. I also wanted protected batteries. These are all things I'm gonna have to keep in mind. I never knew vaping could be so complicated, and the funny thing is, I know I'm just barely scratching the surface.

Edit: I just found out that the Ego-C has more protection and seems like an over all better product. Unfortunately the only versions I can find on ebay are knock off "Jomotech".
You want an eGo battery made by Joytech (Twist model) or Vision (Spinner model). "Ego" is not a brand, but a class of battery. Any other eGo battery will be a knockoff with a stronger possibility to have quality control issues.

Ego batteries have some built-in protections. Once you move into the "mods" class of e-cigs, you'll be using removeable, replaceable, rechargeable batteries. It may not make sense to you but in this instance you don't want to use "protected" batteries, but use "safe chemistry" batteries. Protected batteries are ICR chemistry; safer chemistry batteries are IMR chemistry.

I agree. It all comes down to common sense. I have been vaping for a long time and so far, no harm has come of it. There are a few key points that philosophize on and they may help you as well. 1.Always buy new batteries. Honestly you never know what condition used mods come in so its always best to buy new when in doubt. 2. Take care of your equipment. Keep your mods and attys clean as often as you can. Usually a weekly cleaning works well and keeps your equipment working for a longer period of time. 3. Keep backups around. You never know when a mod or a tank will flake out on you so its a good idea to keep a spare on hand until you can make it to a shop to buy a replacement. Other then that, don't sweat the small stuff and enjoy your vaping experiences. Make memories and live life to the fullest.
