Ok cleaning these is so easy. Yet another plus to the ego-c. My really dark cinnamon roll liquid totally killed an atty in under a couple hours while drinking last night lol. Almost vaped the whole 1ml before it began to choke. Hot water or alcohol didn't really do much but taking the head apart, that was super easy to clean. Was just hard to get apart & hard to get back together. Works as good as new again though, and that's what's important.

Is there a better way to clean em with out taking the head apart that anyone has found, or is that the best way so far? I couldn't find a lighter, go fig, was going to try and hold it in a flame for a few mins to see if that would burn it clean.

I have had more dry burns than any other problems, and zero leaking, but I use 100% VG too. I ended up even poking a whole in the head with a needle for the really dark thick liquids. It seems to help so far. Time will tell.

Broke down & ordered a pack of LR atties too. Can't wait to get em!!

The only way that will make the eGo-c atty like new again is to take out the atty and pop off the needle plate. Then either just rinse the needle plate with the wick still inside the needle or tube, or with an ultrasonic cleaner and water. (I have not taken the wick out of the tube so far and have not found it necessary). Then I dry burn the coil on a battery until it glows evenly across the coil. I do this by pulsing the battery switch (Hold just for a few seconds and let it cool for a few seconds and do this over and over until you see a nice even glow across the coil. It will have some gray ash on the coil when you look at it and you can rinse it off with water. I let my wick and atty dry after blowing most of the water off for a couple of hours then prime the wick with some E-juice and press the needle plate back on the atty, and its like new again. Hope this is helpful. The eGo-c is so much easier to do this than the T-atty ever was.

wyojoe - Make sure you prime the wick and coil with some juice. This is pretty easy to do before you put it back together but you can also just prime through the spike. Let us know how it goes. :vapor:
Well sammy43, I fired my cleaned and Dry burned coil up after priming it with E-juice and, it is now working just like when it was new. I hoped it would be easier to do with the eGo-C atty and it IS. I am very happy with the eGo-c as you can probably tell. LOL

That's pretty much how I cleaned it, but was curious if anyone found a way that didn't involve taking the atty head apart. I had a hard time getting the needle plate back on actually.

if you have one of those changeable head screwdrivers it will work fine and easy to set the plate back on.

thanks for the help everyone! Found out that I was drawing to hard on my tanks and I also took out the 2 vapor restrictors which caused my problem. So far now I am taking long soft inhales and put back the restrictors and my problem hasn't occurred all day!

Glad to hear it's now working properly again!

eGo-c's now in at cignot with accessories - no lr's yet....

Looks like they have the infamous color changing charge indicating LED's on their C batteries. Still wondering why Ovale didn't get this feature? The Ovale C battery is essentially a T battery with only the 5-click on/off it would seem.

Maybe the difference in price too.

Really happy with the ego-C after the first few weeks. Atty cleaning was new to me and the advise hear helped tremendously. I have had a few intermittent leaking issues. After playing around with it I believe I may have found the culprit causing some of the leaking issues. All the pieces are machined very well and fit together nicely. BUT, if you really crank down on the connection from the cone to the lower atty body it will bottom out on one side and become slightly cocked to one side. The opening at the top of the cone is then no longer aligned with the atty and there is no play because the connection is so tight. This makes correctly puncturing the tank and sealing flat against the atty a dicing proposition at best.

Maybe I am the only dummy who thought "I'll make sure it doesn't leak" and over tightened it. But, since I've started paying attention to it, I have not had any issue

Interesting findings...thank you for sharing! And welcome!

That is a good deal to try out the C's and 5 Dollars apiece for the attys is not bad either. 5 For 25 Dollars. Its nice to know of another vendor that carries them. Thanks for the info. It looks like at the moment they only have black and I like the S.S. but I can buy attys anyway.

The battery also has the improved safety chip.
The LED charge indicator was developed by another company and Ovale wasn't 'sure if it would result in a higher defect rate for the battery. Also, it was test marketed about a year ago in Korea and they found they didn't really need it with a large battery like the 650 mAH.'

Why do you call it "infamous color changing charge indicating LED"?
