The only change was the label!!!

And I don't even know why the label was changed, that was the printer's error. I considered having the stickers sent back to be remade, but we were out of parliament, and many of you were asking for it, so I decided the brown would have to do. Whatever.

But the flavor wasn't changed at all. And I tasted them, and they were just fine. A light, sweet tobacco.

This is another of those presentation things. Like the darker blue pina colada labels. It's fooling your brains! ;) I suggest you set them aside, and try them again another day.

But of course, anyone who wants can get them replaced, no questions asked, because that's the SMILIN way. :thumb:

SET THEM ASIDE??????? Are you nuts?
No, I like them, they just have a bit different taste to me, but I still like them the best!

Wish I could agree. Some of the labels cover the air hole/notches thing. Maybe it's only the 36mg that lost the sweetness. Either that or my taste buds went crazy because Steve, Mark, and Leaford all say they taste the same.

It's all in your heads:

Re: Does the appearance of food have an affect on people's perception of taste?
"and yes, food color does influence what flavor people think they are tasting."

Emerald: Article Request - The role of visual cues in consumer perception and acceptance of a food product
"Texture and flavour have long since been known to exert an effect on consumer perception. However, the “first taste is almost always with the eye”. This is especially the case where a food product is sold through its appearance, rather than through its packaging. In addition, appearance can have a halo effect which modifies subsequent flavour perception and food acceptability"

"We conclude that color induces a weak olfactory percept that combines with odorant-induced percepts. The effect may be due to conditioning or may be the result of residual intersensory neural connections left over from infancy."

INFLUENCE OF COLOR ON TASTE THRESHOLDS -- MAGA 1 (1): 115 -- Chemical Senses
"Thus, psychological color association can alter reports of certain basic taste sensations."
