Hello Fellow PureSmokers,
We will have the *New Pilot Hybrid* kits in stock as of tonight!!

The New Pilot Hybrid is a brand new addition to the PureSmoker line.
This new Pilot is with a brand new battery with the same capabilities (7 second cut-off) as the old Pilot battery(M401) only smaller (M402) For that sleeker sexier e-cig feel and look.

The New Pilot Hybrid Kits will come with one M401 battery and one smaller M402 battery along with: one brass or black atomizer, usa plug with usb charger, and 5 premium filled cartridges. With the new charger you can use either the wall charger or the usb charger to charge your ecig!
We will still have the same colors for the Pilot Black and Platinum.

The New Pilot Hybrid Kit will be: $49.95

We will still have the option of either getting 2 M401 batteries with your Pilot kit or you can now get the hybrid kit with the M402 and the M401 battery. You will just need to email us if you want to get 2 M401 batteries with your kit instead of the new hybrid kit.

Get your New Pilot Hybrid Kit Today!

Thanks again for all the support!!!

Hi - I'm a n00b. I have lurked long and hard :p OK. What???? I have two puresmoker ecigs - dse901 and penstyle. No worries all good. A hybrid pilot??? Right! WHY???

My next cig is going to be a pilot.

Now you have confused me! What are the benefits of a hybrid??

There are no real *benefits* mechanic wise. We are hoping, the shorter battery appeals to those (and yes there are many of them) that still want that real cig length. With the hybrid, you have a smaller battery you can take out and about with you, while saving the 2nd longer battery for at home use. The smaller battery holds about 30-35% less charge than the standard 401 battery, but it is also about 12mm shorter. :)

will we be able to purchase the usb charger separately? price?

Hey Kelly,

We will indeed. The USB/Main All-In-One charger will be available within the next few days (when we can get a picture taken) and will be priced in the $12 - $15 range.

DSE901's and Pilots will NOT work together unfortunately :(

NUTS! OK. I'll cope... Is the difference really that amazing, then? I hear you get better vapor with the Pilot, BUT you can abuse your DES 901 pretty judiciously with dripping and whatnot and it's dead solid. Honestly, I think I'd rather just stock back up on atomizers and 901 gear if it's not a huge difference? The passthroughs I ordered are for my pen and 901. The pen is a monster but I really like it.

Not at all. If using a non-manual switch/battery/usb/sd on a 901, the liquid will start to seep in to the battery and short it rather quickly. The main reason I pulled the dripping video off our site. The sad fact of the matter is, there is no scientific approach to dripping. It depends on the size of the atomizer, the pot holding the liquid, and strength at which everything is vaped.

On a manual, dripping on a 901 atomizer is your best friend. I drip on my 901 manual USB all day, every day. Because it has no switch to screw up, when I start to notice the vapor decrease, I unscrew the battery to find moisture between the usb and atom. Dry it up, and go at it again :)

Be careful :)

Smart move Faethe ...

If you already have a device you love, stick with it. No need to spend extra money on a new toy when you are already happy with the equipment you have :)

Ohhhh Thank you! I don't have the passthrough yet, but as I have read here (and judging by the nice email and considerate response from the bestecig supplier) I'm sure I will get it, and be very careful not to drip on it then!

Ah well nuts. You know, I think I am just going to build up what I have unless there is some magic improvement, then. I'll just keep the carts in that place between very moist and not too moist with the passthrough. I tend to vape a lot of the computer so that's a very clever thing, I think. That, and the silly little usb wall charger thing only does one battery at a time!

I'm still new to this. I think my game plan is to use the passthrough ay home and take batteries with me when I am out. So I've ordered some usb chargers in addtion to the passthrough to keep multiple batteries fresh. I have no issur with the aesthetic of the 901. It works quite well for me and yeah, is very forgiving. It's easy to rinse out the atmomisers and clean out the carts for me, also.

Thank you for all the wonderful advice, btw. And thank you to puresmoker for smoothing the transition :)

I like the Pilot/Evo/M401/M402 and others like it (I only have Evo and the non-901 now) because it has the round mouthpiece. The battery life is an added plus.

The "whistle"/"pipe" mouthpiece just doesn't do it for me.

I believe he's stating the benefit of a hybrid is that you get one long (lengthwise and charge-duration) and one short battery (length/duration) with the kit. Hence, the name "hybrid", meaning: "something (as a power plant, vehicle, or electronic circuit) that has two different types of components performing essentially the same function" (Webster).

Alright. First post. Here we go.

Thank you for the post on the hybrid pilots. I discovered e-cigarettes about a month ago, due to a random news story, and didn't realize how many different varieties there were until I started researching. I only came upon this site 3 days ago, and I have been steamrolling through reviews (both video and non-video) ever since. Seriously, I've been spending hours combing this site. It's been a wealth of information (I didn't even know there was such a thing as dripping prior to coming here).

I already had an idea of what I wanted, which made things "relatively" more simple in doing all my researching. I knew I wanted a mini (I want to mimic a cigarette in my mouth, not chewing on a pen), I knew I wanted black, and I knew I wanted the blue LED. After so much research, I had settled on one of 3: the black Intellicig EVOlution, the Janty Mini Fogger, and the PureSmoker Pilot.

The black EVOlution, however, is currently sold out. I wasn't too keen on the price point for it anyway, or the fact that I'd have to contend with both the shipping time from the UK as well as the shipping amount to get it to the U.S. Who knows, maybe I'll brave it in the future. The Mini Fogger was definitely a consideration, but then I read a thread where there seemed to be one too many folks advising about batteries or atomizers crapping out in a few days, or overheating problems. So I was considering the Pilot, but I didn't quite like the pic on PureSmoker.com showing it had a big gold/brass ring in the middle. Just not aesthetically pleasing to me along with the black/blue motif.

It wasn't until I read this post that I was assured that the new hybrid pack could come with a black atomizer rather than the brass one (I also seemed to miss the notification on the site that the pic was of the old pilot and that a new pic wouldn't be up for a few days). That clenched it for me.

I've now placed my order for my first e-cig, the Pilot! Along with an extra black atomizer, the Pilot carrying case, a pack of 5 Marlboro carts, a pack of 5 Menthol carts (I like to switch it up), and a bottle of Riskee Juice (though I notice it's spelled Riskee "Yuice" on the site ... typo or is that intentional?). I can't wait to get it and start myself on a whole new course of quitting analogs and starting e-smoking! Thanks!

yikes, i hate to say this, but the picture on the site is quite accurate. the brass ring in the middle is not the atomizer itself, but the connectors of the atomizer and battery. that ring is still gonna be there.....if the atomizer itself was not black though, the ring would be like 1/2 inch to an inch wide, not that 1/8 to 1/16 inch or so that you see in the picture. great unit though, and i hope you are still happy with it
ps. you can look at the pic of the steel one...the brass colored part is the full atomizer size to see what i am talking about

I've been following the Pilot threads very carefully. I bit the bullet on e-smoking and bought a DSE901 starter kit from a Chinese source on ebay. Gonna try it after 4 years of not being able to quit nicotine outright, but am looking hard at getting a Pilot hybrid, prefer longer batteries than looking good though. You can get new atomisers relativley cheap for the M401/M402/Pilot right? I know the atomisers are usually the first to go, stock up on those and batteries and juice. Puresmoker defintley seems to have one of the best reps, and for $50.00 seems like a great deal!
