So the i've been noticing a burnt taste on my t2. I replaced coil because the wick was burned where it meets the coil in the middle. So I'm still getting the taste, opened up newly replaced coil to clean it and this wick is burnt as well. Am I doing something wrong? I have a halo triton so which runs unregulated. So right off the charger it is 4.2 volts. The coils are 1.8-2.2 ohms long wick.

just running too hot for the t2. i used them and they need to stay flooded or they dry out fast when taking a hit and dont seem to tolerate high voltage or temps well - I use to run them lower then usual and keep them tilted, usually priming the head with a pull or two before pressing the power button.

Is this the Kanger T2 clearomizer? If so, you may have a wicking problem with unregulated voltage. It's a top coil and will require that you tilt the clearomizer from time to time to keep that wick saturated. So, that could burn the wick, but you're not too far from the recommended voltage with the 1.8 ohm coil, so hard to say. Need to know your exact equipment.

Yes the t2 is a clearomizer. So I'm thinking it would be helpful to keep my juice more full in it. I don't know what kind of wick it is it's whatever comes with the coils. Anyway thanks for the input! I really like the halo setup but am kind of bummed I can't try different things. The batteries are vgo 808 threaded.

The Triton batteries stock set-up is usually 2.4-2.6, I believe and because the battery runs a bit higher (4.1-4.2 volts) than the normal ego, that works well. If you purchased the lower ohm replacement coils, burning can occur. You can use them better with the new Triton twist, but for the regular Triton battery, you'll nned to stick with the 2.3-2.6 ohm heads.

I've only used the standard coils and replacement coils and I've never had a burning problem. I have used the G6 minitanks as well without issues, and those are lower resistance.
