touche' im really wanting to put a 510 in the end of this, chuck it in a drill and take a red scotchbrght pad to it. do you think it will screw up the engraving? its a bit too shiny for me.

matte imho. I got thr vr and I only wish the shined parts were matte.

hey loco, im thinking about putting a 510 extension on my vr nemesis and chucking it in a drill, then hitting it with a piece of wore out red scotchbrite to dull the polish and give it a brushed look. do you think it will take the engraving off? I don't want to screw up all the nice work. i just want to give it a finish I like a little better. TIA

Quick question folks; I bought the VR edition and want to know what's the best way to shine the brass rings (on the cap and the lock ring) and if possible, keep it that way for a longer time - mine went dull after two days of use.

Also, a question for Loco - I see that Atmomhxani sells matte/polished top air controls, but I can't find the same spares for the lock ring, are they not offered?

Dont want to worry you but there are big possibilities that you ruin the engravement....

We dont have them as spares....we had to make the mods first....

I posted this earlier in the thread... for an example of changing the finish - there was a Loki tank on the classifieds not too long ago - they purchased brushed and then polished it. They polished the engravings most of the way off (you could barely see them in some places and not at all in others). You'll be disappointed if you do it

The cloth you have on your website works really well. I picked one up not long ago and it did a great job on my 69 V1 brass kit.
