New Stainless Steel Models

Just asking if anyone has bought a Joye S/S model 510 or Kr808D-1???

What do ya think about it???

I love my SS Joye 510. Most of my friends have them in black and really love my SS.

If you have any color 510 and really want stainless, take off the paint. There is a stainless steel tube under that paint on both the battery and the atomizer.

How're you doin' that? I'm a tad leary of any chemical stripper. OTOH, I have a lot of sandpaper. (I have access to all manner of stripping chemicals, too.)

Tape off one end, put the taped part into an electric drill and tighten it down. Use a small grain sand paper to remove the paint from the exposed end with the drill running. Then reverse the process with the opposite end to remove the paint from the other side. You can use a fine grade or polishing sand paper to shine up the finish. There is a video floating around somewhere but I have no idea where I saw it.

Np Just be careful. IIRC the electricity from the drill will set off the batt.

See I was thinking about using a lathe. But a drill motor should be just fine.

I expect as Hoosier said some fine steel wool w/ some lub. will do it.
