Stop! Read on here about Joye 510 atomizers, and eGo type e-cigs first. I think you'll be glad you did. njoy, is one of the better, "rip off" models in my opinion. Best to bypass it.

I think the eGo or one of it's variants/knockoffs are the undisputed king of standard e-cigs currently.
example: http://www.cignot.com/product_p/kit-ego-all.htm good supplier in the USA, though better prices can be found.

The Tornado is Totally Wicked's version of an eGo (made by the very same company, Joye, just has a different name) and they are in the UK. Though there may be better vendors for you. I'm not familiar with UK suppliers.

I've got a rn4081 which is the model njoy uses, battery you will probably get a couple hours out of I used one as my sole device for a couple of weeks it got tiresome always having to swap batteries around. I have an eGo now and still ocasionally puff on the old one but its much nicer going 8 hours with out having to do a charge. Unfamiliar with your brand its a full strength? 24mg juice would probably suit you then.

@ quexos what do u mean by njoy one of the better rip off models? One of my friends is getting the tornado (didn't like his Titan 510 said battery was shocking) so I will check his out

@squid was yours the npro duo? And yeah my cig brand is lambert and butler (full strength) sometimes marlboro reds but they £7 a pack now

I looking at npro duo just mainly because of cartomizers I just think I would prefer them to separate cartridge/atomizer

If you do decide to go the eGo or Joye510 route, might also want to check out LibertyFlights there in the UK. If I remember right he has a 20% off sale and shipping is 2.99. Think the code is on the site in the upper center. Might be october20

A lot of people like the cartomizers vs. the cart/atty combos, but there are a lot of different e-cigs that use cartomizers. You can even get them for your friends Tornado!

The Tornado is a rebranded eGo e-cig. Also sold as a Riva too, they use a 510 atomizer but can also use 510 (or eGo) cartomizers if you prefer them.

The Njoy Npro is a substandard e-cig who's main selling feature is it's diminutive size and the fact that it looks like a cigarette. If the only feature that you are interested in is an e-cig that looks like a cigarette that would be fine. But if you also want it to feel like you are smoking when you use it, then you must keep looking.

I do recommend the Npro for high school plays where the character must look like they are smoking but the actor may not actually smoke. I don't recommend them for current smokers wishing to transition to vaping.

Good luck!

You can use cartomizers with other brands. Might want to check around the forum for things others have said about the brand you're thinking of getting before you do. Good luck and happy vaping!

I've got to agree with what Rosa and others have said about the NJoy NPRO. I tried it and hated it. You'll get maybe an hour of battery life, and the cartridge might last about as long. The atmomizers get so hot that it'll burn you if you aren't careful. They just suck. Save yourself some time, frustration, and a ton of money by ordering from LibertyFlights, like colbaltblue said. You'll be much happier and have more change in your pocket.

Still relatively new to vaping, and regularly using a 510, I really wish I'd found this forum and learned about AFS juice box mods before ever purchasing an e-cig starter kit, because I would have gone that route from the get-go and saved a lot of money and frustration from having to constantly recharge batteries.

If you're not in a huge hurry to get started, I suggest you spend some time here researching all the mods and consider that instead of an e-cig. Definitely my next purchase!

Well that wasn't fair. Was so worried you'd waste money and end up with a product that would only frustrate you later that I totally missed the nic strength part.

It really doesn't matter which brand or how many you smoked. Everyone eventually finds the nic level that suits them best. If the mgs of nicotine are too high you'll know because you'll get a little nauseous. An oops-I-had-one-too-many-cigarettes type feel. If they're too low (for me anyway) you might start craving analogs. You might try starting with something in the 12mg, 18mg or 24 mg range. Here are a few ways you could go about that...

You could just buy 3 flavors in the 12, 18 and 24 mg range and test those strengths, or...

You could also try just a 24mg flavored bottle, a couple of empty 5 or 6 ml dropper bottles to mix in, and then add some PG or VG to thin the nic level down. The flavor might also be diluted though unless you have 24mg with extra flavor added (sometimes called "doublers"). As an example: One part 24 mg nic + 1 equal part PG will give you a 12 mg strenth nic liquid. Two thirds of a bottle of 24mg nic liquid + one third PG will give you 18mg nic liquid, or...

You could buy a 24mg flavor of something that sounds like it will taste good mixed with another flavor that's 12mg. Let's say a 24mg tobacco flavor and 12 mg carmel, or 24 mg cheescake and 12 mg blueberry (you get the idea) ...then mix them roughly half and half in a spare bottle to get 18 mg. You'd only need to buy 2 flavors instead of three this way.

These are just a few suggestions. There are many ways to do this, and I'm sure others will chime in.

Good luck on your journey and happy vaping!

I do have an npro battery and have tried the duo carto's they sell with the kits. You'd probably be ok with 18-24mg nicotine content then, your cig's are about as expensive as they are here. I'd look into some other options like the ego and riva much better battery life but if your set on the look alike style you can probably put together your own kit cheaper then njoy sells them plus the njoy cartomizers are pretty bad.. Over here you can get 2 batteries, usb charger and a pack of 5 carto's for around $32 where njoy would charge about $40 for it and give you only 2 or 3 carto's. The only good thing the npro or rn4082 style has going for it over the other ones people are mentioning here is you can walk down the street puffing on it and everyone will just thing its a regular cig. The bigger battery devices are superior in every other way.

I smoked about the same # of smokes...I have the ego and it literally lasts me all day. I carry the extra battery with me at work, but I've never had to use it...for the first time last night, I forgot to recharge and it still lasted all day today before it needed a boost. The ego is really great for the battery life and I think all of the starter kits come with two batteries so it works out well!! Highly recommend it!
