OK, I bought a Ehpro Kasyfun 3.1 and did my first build and I have some questions.

1) I am assuming here the the more wraps of the coil, the higher the resistance as you have more wire. Basic electrical fundamentals. So, what am I actually looking for? Higher or lower resistance. I have a steady 2.4 ohms with 6 turns around the wick.

2) How accurate is the ohm meeter on my MVP? is it really good enough?

3) I am assuming using lower gauge wires (28 vs 32) will provide a higher resistance again. If I remember my wire gauge right, lower number is thicker wire, so again basic electricity tells me higher resistance with lower number.

4) Airflow control. I am assuming I just need to play around and find where I lick it. Can someone tell me if loosen the screw then more air, thus more vapor or the other way around?

Thx.

Matt

I'll take a stab at this.

1) Correct. What you are looking for is kind of up to your own taste.

2) I don't know but you can test it by using a multimeter on the same atty that you tested with the MVP.

3) Correct

4) Correct. As far as loosening the screw, that sounds right. I don't have a kayfun so I can't say for sure.

Maybe I can shed some more light here.

1. As tm said, what you're looking for is up to you, but I typically prefer something around 1.5ohms (ymmv). Something to keep in mind though, what you're really looking at is the Wattage of the vape. I prefer something around 8 Watts. Since our devices adjust in 0.1 volt increments, it can be difficult to nail down 8 watts with variable voltage. With a higher resistance, you have a bit more play room between low-cold vapor and hot-burnt vapor than you do with a lower resistance coil.

Actually, that's about it. Hope it helps! :)
