It sounds like you may be over flavoring. You need to research the minimum flavor level and add 1% below that and work up. I know it sounds funny but over flavoring will actually result in a reduction of flavor. You also didn't tell us anything about the make up of your base. If your base is nit right your mixes will not be right. If nicotine is to much or very peppery that will make the majority of flavor. Also if you are a cigarette smoker or just recently quit your taste buds are likely not sensitive to vaping. When I first started I could not taste the vapes or they all tasted the same to me. As my taste buds recovered so did the flavors of what I was mixing.

Read my blogs so you get a better understanding of whats involved.

My blogs will give insight into all aspects of DYI, from steeping to what supplies to have on hand to a basic walk through mixing your first E-juice.

Then read hoosier's blogs. These blogs concentrate on fine tuning your mix and give insight on additives.

Then read Boletus's blog's. These blogs concentrate on formulation of nicotine baces regarding proper calculations methods for figuring Nicotine concentration as well as safety.

Then read Ginger's book "E-Cigarettes 102: DIY E-Liquid". It is a book which I've contributed to that delivers an in depth easy to follow guide in the art of DYI.

I recommend viewing VPLive Vape Team Episode #82: DIY Safety and bookmark it for future reference. It explains safety in all aspects of DYI.

then read the stickies at the top of the page.

this will explain a lot of the how's and why's.

thanks danny I have been vaping for 3 months now and I have got my tastes back
funny how I didn't even know I was missing something and now its wow
here is my mix for the 10%
Nicotine E-Liquid 0.83 ml pg base
VG 3.65 ml
bluberry 0.5 ml 10%

I have read all the posts you recommend and your blog
should I be able to taste them right away ???
im also running a magma rda with new coil and new wic so is it possible that the percentiges are way off because the person that posted them is
using a tank or carto???

I agree that it sounds like over-flavoring.

I'd take Danny's advice on all counts.

The general consensus seems to be that drippers deliver the most flavor, and I think that's absolutely true.

On the other hand, I think flavor is maximized in moderate rather than super-subohm builds, though others may disagree. (I generally stay in the .8 to 1.5 range, myself.) You might try building different coils in various resistances to see what works best for you.

:) Good luck.

Dilute your mix with base by half and see if it improves. That will bring your flavoring to 5%. Also What NIC strength are you using. and what are your base calculations? It looks like your using 100mg shooting for a target strength of 18mg. If that is the case try dropping your target strength down to 14 or 12mg and see if the taste improves.

Nah, John. Don't ever say that. This whole vaping thing is a continuous learning experience. Vaper's Tongue can take a while to recognize. Then add in DIY and no wonder you could not tell what you were or were not tasting. Slow it down for a day or two and maybe vape unflavored to let those tastebuds get back on track. You will be fine. You have received some good advice.

ok so im back :vapor: in action after no flavor liquid and biotene my taste is at 50-75% (per a taste of my fave liquid) my single flavors that I mixed in the beginning were still blah so I mixed a few together and I got a berry cake seems the mango in small dose makes the berrys come out and the cake was just a want for more refinement it wont win a reward but its acceptable for now
since this little experiment went well I thought ill look at some recipes found one for mago creame mint flavor mixed it and put it in a warm bath guess what I had to mix more that one got saved I also made a peachalope that came out nice as well although its a touch strong for others good for me also might be a keeper
is a warm bath say 140 degrees for 4 hours enough steep on fruits ??

Possibly too much, most here say fruits require little or no steeping, but of course there are exceptions to every rule. Try it without steeping first, then steep for an hour and see how that works.

Ahh got busted by the old vapers tongue. That was kinda what I was refering to in my first post. It happens to the best of us. Give it a rest for a day or two and then try again.
