Hi, I started with the e-cig a month or so ago with the Leo. Still on the first atomiser and everything working fine. Thought I would try out the eGo (the one with the 510 atomisers). It arrived last week. The first atomiser stopped working after a day so I started using the spare. One time I used it and the eGo would not switch off when I released the button so I quickly unscrewed the atomiser and left it a few hours. When I tried it started up right away without hitting the on button and then the battery packed up (or atomiser, I can't tell as I don't have any more atomisers to try the battery with). Same thing again with the spare battery when I tried that.

I'm going to send the two atomisers and batteries back and hopefully get a replacement. Has anyone else had any problems with them? From the use I got I prefer it over the Leo but don't want to continue to use if I keep getting problems and also the expense of replacing parts.

Thanks,

There have been some reports of that happening though it is rare. Sorry for the bad luck, the company you purchased from should have NO problem exchanging them for you. if they do make sure you post the companies name and others will listen :)

+1...it happens BUT, is rare...vendor should take care of you......................................:2cool:

Is this real Joye brand?

buy real Joye brand atomizers and I recommend Liberty-Flights.com which states its warranties.

If you use atomizers you have to have spares. If you use LR atomizers then you have to have MORE spares.

Most people use cartomizers on Ego-type devices and the most popular are Boge. At least buy some and then you won't be caught with no way to vape.

I'm in the UK. I think I read that Joyce are not available in the UK, maybe go under another brand, not sure it that is correct? I got it from a company mentioned on this forum but was going to hold back the name until this is sorted out. I will look into the cartomisers and pick a couple up.

The eGo system is a great PV. Best to send it back while under warranty. Only problem I've had personally is that some atomizers and even some cartos need a bit of adjustment of the central post to make good contact with the center post in the battery connector. If this happens, you might try taking a large, unbent paper clip and stick a little bit of the end in the center hole at the bottom of the atty/carto and give it a wiggle. Don't stick the clip in very far at all with the atomizer. You can break the coil. You just need it to go in far enough to move the center post out a tiny bit.

Yeah - Janty designed 510/Ego and Joye manufactures, but Janty seems to have exclusive license to sell in the UK (Their home country) vs Joye. it's the same stuff. But one person had issues with the vendor that has the exclusive right to sell Janty in the UK (ivapour.co.uk)

Liberty-Flights.co.uk states their warranty and sells atomizers for 510 (14 day warranty on atomizers)
Electronic Cigarette - Atomizers - 510

If you need LR ones look under Atomizers for the ones for Riva 510 or Ego

eGo are great. When I first got my starter kit, the one battery's button would stick sometimes too, but it worked itself out. I'm still using the same battery 4 months later and it doesn't stick anymore. When it did stick, I'd just bump the button a little and it would kick off on its own, but maybe yours is more messed up then mine was.

Are they batteries and atomizers that you have the real Joyetch product or a rebrand. I have heard of the rebrands giving people problems. I have the genuine Joyetech product and have had no problems whatsoever. I have the ego-T type B kits and they work great. I would suggest that is they ar e a rebrand then get the genuine Joytech. If you have the Joyetech product then just exchange it for another one. Not evertying works one percent of the time including product and every once inawhile you will probably get one that is bad

eGos are generally pretty reliable. I've had mine for a couple of weeks and haven't had a single problem with it. I use cartomizers instead of atomizers though. Just exchange it and you should be fine. Probably just a bad shipment.

What cartomizers do you use with your ego and what size battery is your ego? Please and thank you!
