hey guys/gals,

just recieved my new joye 510 in the mail today. it came with a piece of paper saying to charge battery for 8hrs intially then use for 20min then recharge for another 1hr to ensure best performance..but i thought that it stops charging once the end light goes out? its been chargin for about 30min and the blue end light has gone off but the charger light is still red..? any help.

Charger will turn green when finished. Red inticates its still charging.

As far as I know are LiIon batteries recharged for up to an hour after the LED turns green.

so how long do i leave it plugged in? or better yet how long does it take for battery to fully charge and light to go green?

Some people recommend plugging the charger in without the battery attached and seeing what the light does or what color it is. That color is usually what you should wait for - at least for me this "test" worked!

510-T automatic's charger is different from all other 510 chargers and can actually damage normal 510 batteries. So if you have a 510-T automatic I guess pay attention to what it says unless it acts differently.

AND if any slim cig charger is 2 parts (as most are) - a USB to AC adapter and a USB to battery cable, the light on the AC part is generally meaningless. It just means it is plugged into AC power.

The things that are meaningful are the led light on a charger right where the battery screws in and supposedly in some cases the light of the battery itself but none of my slim ecig batteries do anything meaningful with the battery's own "ash" LED. And I do have Joye 510's (manuals, not 510-T)

The 510-t manual even says once the ash led is off the battery is fully charged.
