welcome to ECF! first off, try not to get overwhelmed....eventually, it all starts to make sense lol...anyways first off your selections may be a little lackluster...if you're going with an eGo, you should definately jump into an eGo-C twist...its simply superior at this time to everything else on the market in that size range, and its cost-effective at just around 20 bucks a battery....as far as clearomizers, i don't really like them, as they crack and leak, i would suggest getting at least one drip atomizer, a handful of cartomizers (as some come in non-operational)...as far as juices, those are more a matter of personal preference....though i will point you in the direction of halo to grab their variety pack for 25 bucks to experiment and see what you like....happy vaping!

Get the ego twist instead. The standard ego is only 3.4v. It is one of the lowest power devices on the market. The ego twist is only a couple of dollars more and will last you longer. Altsmoke.com sells the 1000mah version for $26.00. I would also get the new Kranger T2 from altsmoke instead of the vision. They are $5 and the heads are replaceable for only $1.70

still not sure why you would wont adjustable volts

to save you from even more confusion, i won't break down into formulas about volts/ohms/wattage, etc....this comes with due time....the bottom line is user experience: if you feel you aren't getting enough flavor, or you feel something is off, you turn the dial.

more volts basically sums up to more flavor, more vapor, more satisfying experience....in addition: in the morning when you wake up you may need to quell a serious craving...turn up the power...during the day, you may just need an occasional puff, you can tune it down a bit....then something stressful happens and you are in desperate need for nic, max it out....its really a simple mechanism and you won't know why we say it's such a great device until you actually take the first few drags....then you'll just "get" it

so to some it up the more volts the bigger the puff/nic ?

Man as starter it's good but if want to get better sure go for variable volt or PV's
About what variable volt for it's about the Atty you have when the resistence is high for the Atty so you can up the volt witch mean better Vap and Test .
And the best variable volt on the market is ProVape2 , but if you looking for a good price you can try lavatube also.

is there a better battery choice out there that the ego?

yes there are....but then you're looking into variable voltage mods....which can get expensive...if you wish to really skip all of the "steps" in the usual vaper's journey...you can dive right into those and save a bit of cash in the long run and have a rock solid device....the thing is that it will most likely be even bigger and bulkier than the eGo...but has a few other benefits, such as removable batteries, and not having to replace the whole unit if the battery goes out...

There are a few different size batteries and some with different features. They all have the same threading on top so they are compatible with the same attachments (and fit the most common 510 threading)

They are each rated for different milliampere-hours (mAh) the larger this number the longer it lasts.

They have eGo-C and eGo-T batteries but I believe the only difference is if you buy them in a kit, if you just buy the battery this doesn't matter

The Twist version also lets you dial in different voltages to let you determine how much power gets fed to the coil. (It also has a higher top end then the rest which are pretty low power compared to the rest) this is the one that everyone recommends getting, and I agree!

Edit: oops, I think I misunderstood your question, but at least elmattias has you covered :p

also, and i'm sorry in advance if this ends up being a double post, but if you really don't wish to be bothered with variable voltage this early in your journey, go with the KGO instead, as its simply better (imho) than the traditional eGo's with static voltage....but overall i still highly recommend the twist above any other midsize model

Think I'm going to try the ego twist firs and see how that works for me.

i think that you'll be highly satisfied, go to altsmoke for them, they have the best prices, and incase you're wondering...yes, it's WELL worth the extra couple bucks for the 1000 mAh batteries

C'mon guys... One of the Sr forum mods chastized people for that kind of advice in another new member post. These are for NEW MEMBERS and other new people to read. Asking people to get vv stuff and clearos... You expect some new person 4 days off smokes or someone reading this to deal with vv and have their clearo leak all over their suit at work....

Start cheap and simple!:

1) EGO battery--they are cheap like $14 for 1000mah
2) Ego cartomizers (not clearos)--fill the metal cartos first. They are the easiest to use and dependable.

Then when you understand e-cigs and get comfortable get a Twist--you will have the charger already and play around with some clearomizers, not to learn on...

i understand where you are coming from...but he was opening his post saying he was interested in an eGo, as far as the one he suggested he was looking into (eGo-T), it has generally a negative to so-so opinion in the overall community, the twist starts off a user getting acclimated to VV in a simple way, which is why i initially suggested it, and later on a KGO if he really wasn't looking to dip his feet into VV just yet...as far as clearos, i also steered him away from those considering they have a tendancy to crack and leak....sorry if i was doing anything wrong...i was simply viewing what he wanted/needed and assessing what he may want from there...

on a different note though, i just noticed the OP's user name: do you happen to be the same disturbed1 from the xda forums? lol
