Totally new to E-Cigs and bought a Joytech Ego-CC kit with 1 amp battery and REALLY like the device !

I'm looking for information on how to PROPERLY replace the silicone fill cap on my device.

Somehow the doughnut on the fill cap has torn and I need to replace it. The kit came with replacement caps but for the life of me I'm not 100% certain I'm getting the new one to fit in PROPERLY (I can't really tell by just looking as it's difficult to see if it is properly aligned ).
Tried setting it in place with a small screwdriver and then screw on the atomizer.

It seems to be on properly but I'm getting a small amount of juice weeping into the seal area and into the air passages.

Is this normal for this device? I've been giving this issue a lot of thought! One thing about the design of this device is there is a lot of metal surface area the hot vapor must travel through to reach your lips. Is the vapor just condensing because the metal is so cold compared to the vapor?

I'd appreciate hearing how you guys that are experienced with this E-Cig change out that seal and fit it into place properly? Also are you noticing liquid build up?
Any other tips about the Joytech Ego-CC you care to share for use newbies would be appreciated :)

TIA

joyetech is a reputable company, but their products aren't very popular;
hardly anybody seems to mention the ego-cc

Your not kidding LOL

I've spent at least 20 hours on line looking for information on the subject but have come up empty handed. Learned a lot about mods, etc. but at this point all I want to do is get this E-Cig working properly as it really does seem to fit my needs to a tee! And I love the taste from the device!

Yup; anything popular soon gets cloned; and the ego-cc hasn't been cloned.

The two big names in tanks are Aspire and Kanger
and the two new tanks are the Aspire Atlantis and the Kanger subtank.

Joytech did put out a delta2 which like the subtank seems to come with an optional rebuildable head.

The sure way to make sure or ecig works is to keep a few of them and not just be dependent on 1 device.

My main vape is a veritas rda, of which I have 3; two are always in use.

not with kind words anyway... :ohmy:

Let's face it, until 6 months ago, Joye were sitting on their fat backsides counting the enormous piles of money coming in from selling uninitiated newbies hardware that was already 1-2 years behind the rest of the industry.

They do however, make reliable and quality batteries, so the answer is to keep the main components of the kit and upgrade to better atomizer systems.

Recently, the fight back has been on... they have rejoined the game and are turning out some top kit.

In the UK, they a still selling type A and B atomizer systems. I love them and hate them equally. The development of the eleaf brand has a lot to do with that. :)

Thanks guys for you input so far :)

I don't know much about E-Cigs as I just started, it was on a whim after paying $150 for a carton of little cigars that got me to looking at the new E-Cigs now in the Cigar Shop.
Asked the sales people a few questions and liked the all Black Ego-CC, so that's why I started with it.
I've had NO problems with Atomizers and find the unit to work well. Sure one needs to learn the nuisances of the device, such as how best to get the perfect hit, etc. But overall I'm happy EXCEPT for the liquid build up!

I'm beginning to think my issue is more a design problem than anything else. Today I'm closely monitoring my Ego CC after thoroughly dismantling and cleaning up the whole unit.
What I'm noticing is that the liquid appears to be building up due to condensation, not leakage. I live in a cold climate so the body of the unit gets cold when sitting. And when you think about it from a Physics stand point, the vapor just has to condense given the hot vapor and cold/cool air path.

After taking about 6 hits off a spanking clean unit, there are small condensation droplets throughout the airflow path. Another few puffs and the droplets increase in size, eventually (about 1.5 fills) causing enough buildup in the air channels to cause it to gurgle. Thoughts on my theory ?

I will gladly buy a new unit that has no leakage issues, doesn't look like something a pipe fitter put together, isn't a big silly looking medical device, gives a nice clean hit all the time and that I can buy parts for in Canada:)

So what should I be buying ?
I'm looking to quit smoking AGAIN and not start a hobby out of vaping, although I can see myself vaping 0% nic. juice for a while after getting to that point.

With the HIGH price of Tobacco in Canada the price of the device isn't a big concern as I've already saved more than $300 on analogs in 5 weeks and that's after buying the Ego-CC and a bunch of extra parts and various juices!!

Yes, the cloud you get from ecigs forms from water vapour condensing onto the pg/vg vapour, so condensation is an issue with ecig; in fact sometimes when I'm chain vaping while watching tv, water can start running down my nose!

I haven't tested the condensation, but I'd be surprised if it was water vapor, PG and VG should condense out before any water.

I think they attract water, so what happens it as the water vapour in the air condenses on the pg/vg vapour, you see the visual effect as a cloud.

That's connected with how vaping dehydrates;
I believe when you inhale the vape into your lungs, it absorbs moisture from the humid air in your lungs, and that's how you get dehydrated.
