what exactly do you hate about the tank thing?
aside from that do you like the ego battery?

I'd say get a variable voltage spinner and then depending on what you like or don't like either an evod (bottom coil, warm vape) or a vivi nova (top coil, cool vape)

and depending on how customizable you want it to be you can get them for very cheap :) from fasttech or buy the battery of your color and mAh choice for a decent price usually a 1300 mAh vv spinner will run you about $25 + s&h and then order the charger and accessories for dirt cheap off of fasttech ;)

Keep everything but the atomizer/tanks
Pick up an Evod or two and see how they work for you.
If you like them get extra replacement coils and your set.

Op may have a Non-Joyetech Ego setup.
Found out mine was not original. Great Batteries, but the Look alike Atomizers are real garbage disguised as Ego-a's
Single wick down through spike and into one end of coil, poor wicking and unserviceable.
And I'm pretty good at bending the can't be done rules.:)

For something straightforward and simple that works really well I'd recommend the Joyetech Ego-C Twist battery with the Kanger T4 clearo. The evod heads fit in there too. Really good, very well functioning setup for on the go.

I have other twist style batteries but like the Joyetech one best as far as quality goes.

I think I paid about $20 for the battery at my local shop and both the clearo for about $5 online.

ah, trying to look at the ego-t wasn't sure if it was like a normal ego battery....looked like it with a cone cover but i'm still a noob myself as you well know ;)

Is that 510 threaded? You could probably get pretty much whatever you want if so.
that's kinda what I meant to ask and well forgot to ask hahaha (i'm a bit slow at times)

anyways...please do explain more of what you like/dislike and we can try to help point you more into the right direction

but as stated you can get things from fasttech for dirt cheap as trial and errors to figure out what you like and don't like keeping in mind they are generic knock offs :)

Right now I'm using an X8 cartomizer tank; which in my experience is the EASIEST tank in the world to fill up, because it has a screw that opens up to a hole, so you can easily take a syringe filled with juice and simply fill it up. They sell them at GotVapes, here's the link:
X8 Carto Tank 3.0ml with Fill Port and Base Carto Secure Knob [gv-X8CartoTank] - $15.95 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

BUT Fasttech sells them for much cheaper, although shipping may take longer:
$6.23 Authentic X8 2.5ml Electronic Cigarette Atomizer at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

It's an amazing tank, I mean I can't see myself switching to anything else, any time soon. There are other "sidewinder-like" tanks out there like this, but this is only one I can say I've tried, tested and recommend. Just keep in mind, you'll need a syringe, but you can buy those cheap online. The only downside I would say, is that it's NOT a glass tank and may be sensitive to some juices. However no worries, for a glass alternative, Valley Vapes has something similar:
Pyrex Tanks

i started years ago with the Blu i know its not that great but now a days I'm using the itaste VV/VW its a lower end Variable voltage and variable wattage pass-through battery and i have three tanks as of right now. one is the kangertech protank a great bottom coil maybe the best bottom coil its about $20 cheaper online, the innokin Iclear 30 its a great top coil it runs about $15, and my last tank is the first tank i bought its super cheap and i never use it anymore its much like the one that you probably dont like with your ego. i know this is my first post but ive been vaping for quite a while.
