New to ECF and PV's

After recently deciding to look into E-cigs, research on brands/comparisons to analogues, I finally took the leap with a few disposables. The disposables led me to buying a Safe Cig micro, which just about had me ready to start smoking again, then a Safe Cig original which was a little better. After a little more digging I found that most of the people supporting Safe Cig were now regretting the decision, as was I, and I now own a V2 and love it.

I haven't had an analogue for almost 3 weeks now, after 13 years of smoking, and am really enjoying vaping. I'm still checking out different cartos/flavors, and have even bought a few bottles of juice. My current favorites are V2's Congress, and V4L's wowboy which is my personal favorite at the moment. I'm currently awaiting the arrival of a V2 Sampler, and Halo tobacco Sampler.

Anyway, I was just wanting to say hello, introduce myself, and share my experience so far. Really looking forward to seeing what everyone has to say on the forums, but this seemed like a good place to start off.

In time you may even change again but as long as you stay away for the analogs your journey in my opinion will be a good one.

How long are your batteries lasting between charges?

Between my manual and auto battery I normally make it through the day, I have an adapter that lets me use my Safe Cig battery with the KR808 cartridges so I occasionally need 3 batteries. I also recently purchased and received one of those charging cases they sell and have been able to make a single battery last me all day, though I wish it had room for more cartos...

I also just stepped down from 18 mg to about 12, and in doing so have found myself vaping more than normal. I'm not sure if the increased in vaping is from the nicotine decrese, or me finally finding something that wasn't a pain to vape as the Safe Cig micro was like puffing on a pencil lol. That and finally finding flavors I really like.

To answer your question I do 2 or 3 batteries a day, or 1 a day with a charge case, and somewhere around 2 or 3 cartos.

Vaping more could very well be from the decrease in nic, but it's OK to vape as much as you like. If you are not experiencing cravings from the lower nic, you are good to go.

Yeah, once I got something with decent vapor production and taste I found the cravings were a thing of the past, and the 18mg seemed to make me feel sick. I was wondering if this is just me, but if I vape too much before bed I find it hard to sleep, almost like having too much coffee, though coffee wont do this to me. Anyone else experience this?

Hello, and thank you. Does anyone have a suggestion for charge cases that would work with my V2? I do like mine, but wish it had room for more cartos, my second battery, and maybe a bottle/drip tip when I get them...currently only have bottles on order, no tip lol.

You might want to get a lower nic juice for use in the evenings. I never had any problems with insomnia or being jittery.

Don't forget to drink lots of water.......lots more than you think you need. The vapor is formed from water pulled from your body.

I'll have to take that into consideration, I've been vaping 0mg before bed since I used to smoke just before bed. Didn't know vaping would dehydrate you like that...it's also worth mentioning that I have a jubilee or sleep disorders that may not care for the nicotine levels that late at night. Thanks a ton.

Welcome to ECF. Yep I agree with dearme. I had sleep issues and now vape 20 mg during the day and 10 mg in the evening and now sleep like a babe. As for dehydration it is an issue when vaping and I drink 2 large glasses in the a.m. and 2 liters per day.

Doctors usually recommend half your body weight in oz to stay hydrated. Since most of us don't drink that much liquid, it's especially important for vapers to drink lots of water.
