new to ecf...need have an atomizer question

So this forum is massive and to be honest I am utterly confused so Ill do my best. I searched for info on cleaning an ego c atomizer but couldn't find what I was looking for though I'm sure its got to be here. Anyhow I have been smoke free and vaping since early Feb 2012 and bought an ego c about 2 weeks ago. I love the thing and am looking for any tips or info on cleaning the parts....specifically the atomizer to extend its life. The original atomizer I put in 2 weeks ago seems to be showing possible signs of age or ginger build up. Can its life be extended or is it just time to switch it out? Thanks for any help and I'm sorry if this is an inappropriate post for this area but this forum is so huge I just couldn't seem to find what I was looking for.

I rinse mine under the hot Water tab.. until I burn my fingers.. As much as I can < 5 min..
Some times I also place it in an small cup with.. sorry.. Vodka ! Due to you have to blow it out with your mouth after 24 hours.. Vodka is the best tasting I have come up with ?? ALL other alkohols taste/ smell like sh.tt.. eww
Let it dry for at least 24 hours blow Again and it should be ready for : 1 more round!

This is a good resource

The great thing about the Ego C is how easy it is to get to the atomizer. Even just taking it out and rinsing it or boiling has helped mine last a bit longer.

I've also heard certain mouthwashes can be good. similar idea with the alcohol and everything.
