Hey ECF

First off, great forum alot of good information..

Been smoking a pack a day for 16 yrs. I've been researching my options and am considering buying the smok Tech EGO-T Kit from madvapes. Is there anything I should know before buying this kit and I'm unsure on what juice to get. There are so many options, looking to start with a tobacco flavor.

Anyone have suggestions

Hey Syrup, As I have only been vaping since Jan, about the only advice I can offer is to do your research. I started when my son got an ecig form a mall vendor. I tried it and found that it hit notonly the Nic need but the process of puffing and having something in my hand. As I have been smoking for over 40 years, these requirements were paramount. While the mall unit was a good start, it did not meet my needs on many levels; flavor, longevity, and hit. I am still trying to find that "perfect combination" of hardware and juice myself. Reading forums, talking to others, and trying diffrent combinations is the best way to get there. Unlike their analog counterparts, vaping allows the user to find waht is best for them. That is one of the major reasons that I still continue to experiment. I no longer want a cigarette. Goal number one accomplished. I do alternate flavors though. I have about 15 at any given time as I like the variety that the technology offers. As far as hardware, I started with a Modern Vapor LUX. My favorite tobacco flavor so far is Halo Captin Jack. Hope this helps.

What do you like about the kit you are looking at? It wouldn't be a top 10 of recommended starters as the ego t system is known to be leak prone. Not EVERYONE has the leak problem , but it is common. It can be extremely discouraging for your first kit to be unsatisfactory.

Anyhow, again, tell us what you find attractive about that kit and we can make a good recommendation to start you on a successful journey into vaping.

My honest opinion, I'd step away from the Ego-T kit. Everyone is different, but vape production from the tank system on the T's have had mixed reviews.

I think if you are going to stick to a solid ego type model, I'd by an Ego-Twist and if you can find a set, even better.

You'll find, sooner than later, that your standard ego may not cut it and you'll end up buying more battery types. Most vapers do. We start with disposables, jump to egos or 510's, then jump to mods, then jump to Variable Voltage...blah blah blah.

What's good about the Twist is that new and advance vapers use it. It performs just as well on all levels and variable voltage for a decent price.

I think in regards to tobacco flavor, that's a tough one. There is so many juice vendors to choose from. Everyone has their favorites. My suggestion is to start with sample packs. Buy small, then when you find a juice you like, then buy more.

Hope this helps!

The Smok Tech EGO-T is a very solid PV BUT the atomizer/ cartridge system is prone to leaks. I'd suggest you find the equivalent Kgo kit:
KGO CE4 Bundle - $34.95 : $34.95 but I'd suggest also buying a rebuildable Mini Vivi Nova (comes with 3 heads and holds 2 ml juice)- $8.95
ElectronicStix.Com : ViVi Nova V2.5 2.0ML Twist on Replacable Coil TANK - ViViNova2ML

Edit: The rebuildable Vivi Nova comes with heads (coil+ wick) that can be cheaply and easily replaced. When the head burns out simply unscrew the old head out and screw in new head- takes 10 secs. My heads are lasting about 4 weeks BUT I wash the heads every few days. I've found the Vivi Nova to give the best draw.
Best of Luck.

Try any kgo kit v1 or v2 from hoosier ecig. Just check them out. I can understand about finances. The batteries are ok on the madvap es kit, just that type of juice delivery system is problematic. Most would recommend an ego twist or vision spinner and a mini vivi nova tank to start, but for under $50, the kgo kit is a solid starter. Also, use the search functionto find the "deals and steals" thread and put it in your favorites folder as good buys are often posted there. Do a search for coupon codes for any site you are gonna buy from.

One other thing to google and bookmark is "vapor joe's". It is a blog similiar to deals and steals.Good luck syrup, let us know what you decide. There is no wrong answer, just experience.Stop smoking start vaping. AND start saving your money for the next thing you are gonna need.

All right guys, after doing alot of research and making reference to all your helpful suggestions this is the setup I went with.

KGO CE4 Bundle

Vision 1300Mah Spinner VV that I'm going to attach the Vision vivi nova V3 to

I originally was going to get a backup battery and the vivi nova, but for the price and great reviews I couldn't resist getting the Spinner VV

Was able to get it all with e-juice for just shy of $90

Thanks again for all your help guys!!! Would of had a hard time making a final decision, think I did pretty good for my first setup(s)
