New to forum - saying hello

Hello. I just wanted to introduce myself to the forum. I'm new to vaping and the abundance of different types of e cigs, all the acronyms, and the very confusing ohms or voltages or what have you. I will learn as I get more involved, though. From a local smoke shop, I bought myself an ego battery and a clearomizer normally using single coils but bought a pack of dual coils but am going to be returning them for single coils because I've been reading that single coils are better for the set up that I have. I use 24mg juice since I was a heavy smoker. Since buying this e cig I haven't smoked a single cigarette. It's been two weeks and I can breathe so much easier, haven't been hacking up phlegm, or clearing my throat every ten minutes. I love it. My girlfriend is also slowly making the transition to the same product (I bought one for her as well). I do have questions about my set up that I do not believe have been asked(I'll double check) but thought other threads would be more appropriate.

Anyway, I'm glad I found this forum as it has a ton of unbiased information.

Welcome! Don't hesitate to ask any question. You will either get an answer of be directed to where you can find it. As for the coughing, it will come! It took me about two to three weeks and i coughed up my toenails! Felt better afterwards but man was it intense! Your setup is exactly what a lot or most of us cut our teeth on. It is a great product and pretty reliable. If it is not a VV/VW model then you are right about the dual coils. Unless you can up the voltage it is hard to fire two coils. Unless you are planning to upgrade, you are better off with single coils. They will get the job done. Keep you tank topped off and a coils should last a little while.

Welcome to the forum. Glad you are being successful not smoking. This was how it happened for me, too. Started vaping, and haven't had a cigarette since. Plus, I'm having fun and meeting lots of nice new friends here. I have an ego and use clearomizers with it and find it works well for me. It's simple and easy to use. Of course, there are many different devices and upgrades, but I'm happy with what I have for now.

Good that you got the 24 mg. liquid since you were a heavy smoker. I was, too. A couple of packs a day for more years than I care to remember, lol. The nice but not too knowledgeable little gal at the local vape shop recommended 12 mg. and I didn't know any better at that time. It worked and I didn't smoke - but just barely.

After doing some reading here I bumped up to 24 mg. and the difference is amazing. I am totally comfortable and have no desire whatsoever for cigarettes.

Yeah that was certainly a true statement over the last year, LOL. Lately, I have been getting involved exclusively with RBA/RTA's. I went clearomizers to cartomizers (tanks) and now RTA's primarily (Kayfun's and Taifun's primarily). The vape is magnitudes better in flavor and vapor, and, as it turns out, it's really easy to do. I now have the missus building and wicking coils, and she loves the Kayfun. Believe me, I'm shocked, as I thought this was an area of high-tech vaping that she would never be interested in. I had to get her her own Kayfun 3.1 so I could get mine back. Of course, this shrewd move now allows me to buy pretty much all the high-end gear I could ever want without much discussion. All I can say is that vaping gets better and better and better, until you will be doing things you never ever considered before, because vaping is just so awesome, and smoking just sucks so bad.

As always, thank you Vapoor Eyes, my friend. More veterans like you on the Forum helping the newer members would make this place even better! I will likely live a longer healthier life because of ECF and I can't thank them and the many members enough. Know how you feel OP. Good luck to all!

Congrats!! I quit two years ago on New Years Eve and never looked back. Now I'm making my own e juice and have wound down my nic level to 9mg from 24 mg. Good times vaping.

Wow quick responses! Thanks for welcoming me to the site and thank you for the websites. After my first post I went and exchanged the dual coils for single coils. He ended up giving me one dual to try swearing I'd like it a lot more. I tried it, albeit only taking a few puffs, don't like it as much as the single coil.
