Last Febuary, I purchased a blu starter set in order to help me quit smoking. I wasn't the happiest about it. The battery didn't last as long as it should imo; and the TH wasn't quite what i expected. I was using the menthol flavor and it while it helped cut down on the amount i smoked i couldn't quit. I recently found a couple of old cartomizers i had laying around and starting vaping again. I must also add i am on chantix and have completely quit smoking. The reason for this post is i heard about refilling the old cartomizers with the actual smoke juice. I tried it out with a friends bottle and apprently did something wrong. I know i put way too much in the material but how long does one have to let the old carto sit after putting only 2-3 drops of liquid this next time? Or what am i doing wrong. I have looked and can't find a clear list of instructions i hear different things and cant' decipher which way is better. I know i overfilled but i have to suck till my cheeks cave in to even get vapor or flavor. Sorry for the longwinded post but i have new cartomizers here and don't want to jack them up after i use whats in them.

You have to be careful about not leaking juice onto your battery - you have auto batteries which can be damaged or killed by juice leaks. And Blu batteries last as long as a crappy 90mah battery would be expected to - an hour or less.

If the carto was previous run dry and singed, it will always taste singed

You need to dampen all of the stuffing of a carto (if what you really have are cartomizer - i.e. hold juice AND screw directly on the battery with no separate atomizer). I would hold a tissue on the threaded end hole of the carto and slowly drip juice in. I do not know the capacity of Blu cartos but I think they are less than 1ml. See if it will take 12 or more drops without looking wet on top. If it won't soak it in then stop adding juice. You may not even be able to get juice into a really old Blu carto because they were filled with VG probably thinned with water or alcohol and if that has evaporated then the stuffing could be pretty stiff and clogged. When done, clean it up - clean threaded end, if there is a central air channel then tilt the open end down into a tissue and puff into the threaded end to clear it. Then with the carto opening pointed down touch a soft little bunch of tissue to the top of the stuffing (will help prevent leaks).

I recommend thinner juices like PG with 20% or less VG. If you have thick juice you will have a hard time filling. You could try diluting thick juice with a bit of distilled water.

If your old cartos are useless, buy Boge 510 3 ohm cartomizers. Blu is not a 510 and its charger will fry a 510 and vice versa, but it is the same threading as 510.

Thanks for the advice, I didn't try to refill the actual cart with the battery attached and it still smokes a little but i didn't put even close to 12 drops in there. I put about 9-10 in one and it was dripping out the bottom onto the paper towel. I think im going to wait and slowly choose a different company or actually use JC fluid. I will certainly do my homework and research on my next vaping instrument. Thanks again!!!!

JC is VG (thick) and will probably be hard to get a carto to soak up. JC themselves probably thins their juice with distilled water to get it into the Blu cartos.

Even if you fill with off the battery as you should, the carto can leak later especially after it is warm. User-filled cartos are much more likely to leak than prefilled cartos.

That makes a lot of sense. I might have been using a fluid that was too thick. I might gank some distilled water from the hospital and try and distill it. Its really hard to pull on these refills and that might be the problem and getting a better setup all together is most likely the end result of all this.
