Well..unfortunately that's a difficult question to answer as it will vary from person to person based on their tastes. Start with how strong is the nicotine you're using? What nicotine strength to you want to end up with? How strong of a flavor do you like? Do you prefer VG or PG based liquid? Personally, I use about 25% PG based 36mg nic liquid, 25% flavoring, %10 Vodka and 40% VG (but play with the amounts depending on the strength of the flavor I'm using)...That gives me a 9mg strength nic liquid with a fairly strong flavor. You're tastes will be different though. Unfortunately you may need to experiment a bit. Good luck!

I can manage the flavoring, but I don't know how much of the unflavored 48mg nic juice to add. I'm afraid of getting too much and since it's unflavored I won't know if I added too much.

well, as the last two posters have said, you can download my app that will allow you to play with the values until you get what you want. At 20% (of the total mix of 6ml) of your nic liquid you would come out with a total of 9.6mg nic content. You can fill in the other 80% of the recipe with whatever you like. If you like a strong flavor, try 25% flavoring, about 10% vodka or distilled water (since yours seems to be VG based) to thin it out a bit and the rest in vg or pg. There's a "Basic Recipe" included with the app that will get you started, just modify it to your needs. Definitely start with small batches first. Click the link in my signature to download and please let me know if you have any problems.

What do you mean by "low" ? 12mg? 6mg?

6ml of 12mg would contain 72 mg of nicotine.
1.5ml of 48mg nic juice would also contain 72mg of nicotine. (72 / 48 = 1.5)

6ml of 6mg e-juice would contain 36mg of nicotine.
2/3ml of 48mg nic juice would also contain 36mg of nicotine. (36 / 48 = 0.66667, or 2/3)

Add the appropriate amount of nic-juice to your 6ml bottle.

For flavoring, start low, like a couple drops per milliliter. So 12 drops of flavoring to start.

Add 12 drops of flavoring to your 6ml bottle.

The rest of the bottle will be your pure VG juice. So fill it up.

WAIT! Two things:
1. You may need to add some more flavoring, so leave a little room
2. Adding this much VG may make the final e-juice too thick, so leave a little room so you can add some water or vodka.

So don't fill your bottle all the way up with VG, leave a little room. Shake like crazy - VG is thick and hard to mix.

Drip 2 drops onto your atomizer bridge and vape it for a bit. How does it taste? If it's really weak, like you can't taste the tobacco, add 2 drops of flavoring to your bottle. If you can almost taste the tobacco, add 1 drop of flavoring.

Shake like crazy to mix, and vape a couple drops.

Continue until the flavor is strong enough for you.

PS: Count the number of drops you added so you can make another batch.

After a while you may find that this juice doesn't wick as well as the juices you're used to. It may be too thick. If so, add 1 drop of water or vodka to your bottles and shake well.

Vape a while.

If its still too thick, add 3 more drops of water or vodka. Vape a while.

Continue until the thickness seems right to you.

PS: Count the number of drops you added so you can make another batch.

I'm a bit like you and am just now going to begin mixing my own. I've been vaping for a little over a month now.

The reason I'm interested in mixing my own is because, in the beginning, I could taste the flavors and feel the hits much better than I can now. I'm not sure if it's because my tolerance level has changed, my taste buds have been shot, or that it's become more routine and that with familiarity, the experience degrades. I'm curious if anyone else feels as if they have experienced the same???

I do believe that I need a high to very high level of nicotine (currently vaping TW 36mg but can't tell the difference between that and 24 or even 18mg variations). It seems as if I 'need' to vape all of the time and even then I have degrees of anxiety attacks at times. I have just purchased 60mg nic juice from myfreedomsmokes along with PG and VG. I plan to purchase some LorAnn flavors from Wal Mart and give it a try. I plan to start off by mixing at about a 36mg level and steadily increasing until I finally feel some sort of buzz.

Also on order (and en route) is a Silver Bullet (I figure 6v should at last give me a 'hit'), science stuff from Home Science Tools (graduated measuring glasses, eyedroppers, pipettes, funnels, etc, etc), and a bunch of flavors directly from LorAnn.

Adding all of this 'stuff' up, I'm not so sure that it will be any, if at all, cheaper to diy-it, but my motivation is not to save money but to finally get a flavor and hit value that I can taste and feel.

Here's an online e-juice calculator.eJuice Recipe Calculator Best to start with a small amount like 1ml or 2ml) until you get it flavored like you like it, then you can make bigger batches once you know if you like 10%, 20%, or more, less, or what. :)

All you do, is just put in the nic strength you have, the amount of liquid you want to make, put in the nicotine level you want to acheive, and enter like 10% flavoring to start, and hit ENTER. Voila!

(Ofcourse, It depends on how much flavor you want, but no way to know for sure til to make one first. just remember, It's easier to add then to take away flavors)

(As for myself, I like to start out making small amounts, that way if I don't like, after playing around with it for awhile, I don't feel bad about throwing it out and starting over. Lol )
