New to mods, ordered a VAMO

Nice, if we had a MA meetup there would be 2 people total. I just got my Vamo too, hence the thread. What are you using on it?

The RMS mode is definitely much better, it seems anything i do in AVG mode is just way too much power. Ill probably just play it safe and use my 18650 for full length =) I need batteries for my meter to check mine but its saying at 5W that its using 3.7V if i hold the left button, which adds up if you do the math.

Thanks for the help im loving this thing!
Yea the upper-east is blank for vape meets. Without heavy travel that is.
What I like to do is, since the Li-Ion cells do not benefit from large/full discharges, in terms of cycle life, I change my 650's out when they FIRST hit sub-4.
I sit near the charger, so this is one reason. When they come off of the charger I get a nice 4.2 . Are you saying you only get a 3.7 reading at 5w?

And I use a Kanger EVOD...this thing...this thing can take 5.5 volts no problem, and more. Head reads 2.6. Also use boge lr carts, no tank. And a mini metal nova.

FYI holding the left button shows the battery voltage, not the output voltage. You need to get a meter in between the vamo and the atty to read the output voltage.

(Actually, before you try to figure that out, you also need a meter or scope that can read PWM to get a vaguely accurate reading.)

Oh lol. Yeah well i got 2 18350s and wanted to get on it so bad i only put one in charger. I know its not healthy for the battery but i just dont care at the price point. The other one is giving me 4.3v. Ill probably run it to about 4v and recharge from this point forward now that i have a fresh battery in there.

I do have a nice meter, i just need to dig it up, pretty sure its in storage in my attic, and needs a battery

Yeah from what research ive done you are best recharging between 50 and 80% of life. I love the kanger stuff, maybe i should pick up an evod. I want to get a carto/tank or rba/tank going with pyrex when i get some cash. Im just not 100% sure what to get yet. The aga-t looks promising though, and i do like to rebuild stuff.

I feel like there is a lot of vapers in the NE, but we have no B&M (at least not for a few hour drive) and it seems like the presence on the forums is rather low. Its too bad. I wish i had more opportunity to check out other peoples PVs and devices, eliquids, etc in person and talk to them about them.

You'll need one that can be set to read PWM (generally its more of a scope than a meter, although I wouldn't be surprised if there was a Fluke that could do it for a couple grand..)
