My build on the Requiem using the largest airflow cap for RDL:
simple round wire spaced 7 wrap SS 26ga on 2.5mm... .5 ohm
    Run at 30-35 watts
Good flavor, quick ramp up/cool down
You don't want to build bigger than a 2.5mm in the Requiem, otherwise the build is too close to the ultum airflow inlets.

... If you have 2.5resistance but no Ω then no heat will occur, transversely .1Ω and 100 resistance would also generate no heat(without alot of voltage and time). I get what you saying, however I get miffed when people have an incorrect view of how electricity works so I am clarifying for anyone reading. You seem well informed so I am sure you know this, but were simply trying to give a layman explanation.

Not really sure what you are say'n when you say "If you have 2.5resistance but no Ω then no heat will occur, transversely .1Ω and 100 resistance would also generate no heat(without alot of voltage and time)."

Build. Sorry about the pic the camera does NOT want to focus on the coil at all lol

Your coil looks to be mounted wrong.
The coil rod should go through the coil and rest on the "ears"
The ears are notched for the rod to be at the correct height.
Your airflow is being blocked by the wicking.

I am not quite sure what part you are referring to but to summarize the heat generated on/in the coils is a sort of harmony between volts/watts/resistance

Your right I totally derped that. Let me go correct that.

for simplicity "If you have 2.5resistance but no wattage then no heat will occur, its a delicate balance between volt/watt/resistance."

You nailed it. mounted coil as shown and it doesnt get quite as hot(still gets pretty hot though). Feels kinda odd that it is so picky about coil orientation but at least it's usable.

Also a thing that might be of help, if you press the fire button quickly three times you can set the preheat level between hard/normal/soft. If you bump the preheat up you can get away with adjusting the wattage down a bit as the preheat will help get the coil up to temp quicker. Turning preheat down will make the coil heat up slower.

TL;DR: Preheat can make a huge difference to your hits, play around with it.

Also I was never a fan of the Requiem, something like the Claymore would be much better, or the Mongrel if you want more airflow.
