Hey yall, I just signed and happy to finnaly be able to talk to fellow vapers. Live in a small town where everyone smokes and we have just recently got our first vape store, been gaping for a while now and just built my first rda. Picked up a dead rabbit rda the other day after using atomizer for a year, and it brings the experience to a whole new level, the guy that put my coils on put 2 fused claptons on my dead rabbit and wicked it with some non absorbent cotton. Tonight I put one huge staple frame cool on my dead rabbit with some key lime juice and 40 watts at 0.16 ohms on my smok 2/4, and I have never been happier. Just wanted to say thanks for letting me in and am looking forward to my experience on this forum. Happy vaping everyone.

I'll bet if you put 10-20 more watts through that build the flavor will be even better, but 40 works too.

Any suggestions to building on the dead rabbit? I have come to find I think I like single coil better, I'm having better luck dripping on it. And better flavor with no spit back.
I don’t have a dead rabbit, but I like single coil. One of the keys I find is that single coil allows one to build larger diameter. I generally build on a 3.5mm mandrel for single coil. I also find that most exotic coils provide very limited benefits. They have more surface area, but they heat and coil slower and the additional power they require eats my batteries faster. If I do make an exotic coil it’s generally just a twist coil. Twist coils at least are all heating element which helps with the long ramp time of most exotics. I generally wrap a 22g single spaced coil to about .2ohm for DL. Ymmv of course. Everybody vapes a little different

Yea, I tend to prefer single coil. Thats where I get the most flavor. But I never really tried to play with dual coil too much. I feel like dual coil is like half the battery life and you have to wrap 2 coils instead of one. plus the resistances have to match or its going to be like vaping single coil anyway.

Its not worth the trouble.
