my name is cory i am fairly new to e cigs, i have been using one for 3 weeks now. i am not a heavy tobacco smoker, i smoke on average 10 - 15 Marlboro menthal lights a day. since i started my ecig i am down to 6-8 tobacco cigs a day. the e cig i am using is "A Clean Cigarette" brand with 36mg menthal carts. i dont know if this is a good e cig or not but so far im enjoying it and already am saving some cash.

i have a problem though an i would appreciate it you you guys could help me. i cant get that satisfying hit, like i barely get that throat hit and nice feeling you get from hitting tobacco. the 24mg coffee gets a really nice throat hit but i dont like that flavor.

what do you guys reccomend i do to get a more enjoyable experience. i dont have enough money for any of those fancy mods and stuff so thats not an option. is there any diy thing i can do to improve my ecig?

i am very good with metal working and i was thinking about making a pipe like for my e cig battery, like put the battery in the bowl and use the carts as the stem.

so like i said i really enjoy the e cigs and any info you guys can give me on improving my experience would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advanced guys/girls!!!

a little info about me

i am a very knowledgeable person when it comes to two stroke engines and i have a fair amount on four strokes.
i do alot of machine and cnc work on engines. i never take my cars or toys to a mechanic or shop.
race atvs is a hobby of mine.
one of the things i enjoy doing most is smokeing while i am working on an engine, its a really satisfying and realxing feeling to sit down relax and work on a motor while hitting a cig or e cig.

U are using the "mini's, the ones that look like a real cigarette...try the ego system..its like night and day....this will give U all the throat hit U want..

$24.88 EGO-CE4S 6-in-1 1300mAh Variable Voltage Rechargeable Electronic Cigarettes Set - black / 2.4 ...$25 ego starter kit, ..they have shipping problems in China now, so select Singapore Post for shipping and expect a 12-25 day delivery..

or U can buy from USA, and get guaranteed delivery in 5 days here with this $45 ego kit.. DV eGo-T Starter Kit - Stainless - 1100mah

now U need some eliquid from Best E Cigarette | Buy Electronic Cigarettes | E Cig Juice - MT Baker Vapor..U can order any flavor or PG/VG artio U want..the higher the PG, the more the throat hit...the higher the VG, the more flavor and vapor....I recommend a 80PG/20/VG...18mg nicotine to start..and try the 555 mentol since U like menthols..

can i use these carts on that battery? like say if i run out and dont have anything while im waiting?

That depends on the threading of your current system. Do you know if it's 510 or 808? If you want a more satisfying throat hit, without going crazy with the nicotine, definitely try a higher PG liquid. Something like 80/20 PG/VG should do the trick. I'll second the Discount Vapers kit as well. That's a good price for what you are getting. It really is like night and day when you compare the cig-a-like devices to an eGo type system. Hope this helps!

The liquid is all premixed and ready to vape..but some juices ya need to steep/age...let sit for a week or so and shake the bottle daily...like a spaghetti sauce, that's taste better the next day or so when the ingredients all blend in together to enhance the flavor...but I use regular 555 from there, right out of the bottle from the mailbox....I can tell U really need to read a lot more in these forums, but I think I have U started in the right direction with those ego starter kits and juice from MBV.....555 is a lil caramel taste..the 555 menthol I never had, read their reviews at MBV...

what exactly are those mods and what is a tank?
The most recommended starter kits have eGo-style batteries, a stick about 14mm in diameter of varying lengths (depending on the length of battery life and whether it has variable voltage). Read more about the different options here. This is my most recommended eGo-style starter kit: 2 Mini Protanks and 2 variable voltage batteries (with charger and a few replacement coil heads).

Mods are kind of the "next level" from eGo-style batteries, but I already need to qualify that statement: Many vapers skip eGo-style batteries altogether, while many (probably most) never leave eGo-style batteries for mods. They're "next level" in complexity and size, but that doesn't mean we're all going in the same direction. Different vapers want different things. :thumb:

The most simple mods (in device complexity, not use) are just battery containers with a mechanical switch. These require a lot of safety preparation and precautions on the part of the user, because there is no safety built into the device (except maybe a mechanical button lock and some vent holes). If you're interested in this option, we can point you to some reading materials regarding safety.

The more advanced mods (in device complexity, not use) include protective circuitry, variable voltage, variable wattage, and/or even more features. Because some safety features are often built into the device, these may be easier to learn to use.

A really popular mod right now, among beginners and veterans alike, is the iTaste MVP2. It has an internal battery with a very long battery life, passthrough capability (vape while charging), variable voltage and variable wattage, a resistance checker, it's threaded for both eGo and 510 attachments, comes with its own charger and can also be charged with some other chargers, and more. And it's only $40 from some vendors right now, so you really get a lot for your buck. People think it looks big, but in reality it's smaller than a box of 100s cigs.

Regarding juice attachments, including some of the many kinds of tanks available, check out this very helpful article: Is it a carto, tank, or what? A guide to juice attachments.

I hope this helps. Let us know if you have questions. Any of the options I've mentioned here will allow you to choose your own juice. I don't know whether your current attachments will fit because I don't know whether they have a standard size threading or a proprietary threading.

Mt Baker Vapor recommends that their "tobacco" flavors should be allowed to "steep" (age/mature) for 4 weeks for best flavor results. Complex flavors (such as apple and caramel rather than simply apple) often need more time to mature and blend (1 week to 4 weeks) than do simple flavors.
