OK ive been vaping for about a year exclusivly and on and off for about a year before that.

Today i got my first 24hr battery and tank system.

I have a problem its an ego battery and a CE4 tank. The place wont be open till next weekend so i cant get ahold of them to ask.

My battery is a manual Its been great all day then suddenly i looked down at it cause i hear a hissing sound. The light was active and it was on (by itself). I imediatly disconnected the tank. Ive had cheap manual batteries get stuck so i tried to un stick it with both solid clicks and quick clicks. when this didnt work i went searching to find out what was up. I found this site and a thread talking about genuien ego batteries someone had a similar prob some one said to try several quick clicks.

This worked. BUT then it didnt turn back on. I was worried It had either burned out or was at the end of its charge. I found a site talking about genuine ego batteries with the 5 click safty switch. (i had never heard of that) and how you turn in on and off with 5 clicks in 2 secs. so i tested and it worked it turned back on.

But now it is intermittently doing the constant on thing.

Right after i turn it off and on again its fine but after a few mins it will start it again. At this very moment its been sitting quiet for about 10 mins and ive even taken 2-3 puffs and its fine.

What i need to know is this safe for me to use with supervision. And just use the 5 click shut off switch when i go to bed later?

If the issue happens again i will be taking it back to the store on friday but i need to know if i should even try it. i only have 1 other battery and its an automatic 510 the small ones. so it wont work for long (a few hrs) before i have to charge again.

Any help is appriciated.

Where you least expect it....
The clearomizer your using right now might be the problem. Do you have anything else you can use on it to confirm that's the problem?

Welcome to the ECF! Hope you enjoy your time here. I'm sure others will chime in shortly.

i have a few regular cartomizors left but this happens even without anything connected to the battery its like the button is stuck

To add to that it just started it again i did the 5 clicks shut it off. I checked it it was off/non responsive. I set it down to finish the message and it turned itself back on.

ya but only 1 battery at the moment im limping threw lol. I have the tank disconnected and try to keep the battery turned off till i want to vap then i attach only to vap that second and disconnect again.

Did i just get unlucky or is this a common problem with these larger batteries. Ive had it happen on cheap ones but the actual battery got stuck under the metal on those this is like the circut is screwed or the "button" under the button is defective.

Kinda sucks cause its a really nice one it had been 11hrs since i fully charged it after getting home. Which was nice and im a constant vapor type as if its glued to my lips lol.

So am i right in believing its defective and not user error here. i hope so all i did was charge and soon as it stayed green for more than a minute took it off and started puffing. I made sure not to get the liquid in the hole they said not to on the tank. and the battery is manual with no holes. it hasnt been dropped nothing.
