new to the vape world. tips and tricks

I'm new to the vape world but I have definitely dove head first into it. Not only am I a hobby enthusiast but also now an ex smoker I first bought an ego-t with little disposable tanks then not a week later I turned around and bought a vission twist with a kangar protank too... but still not quite as satisfied with it as I felt I should've been, I used that for three weeks and then went to the grand opening of my local vape shop alternative vapors and one of my newly aquired friends that worked there let me try his mech mod.....I loved it. that made me crave the clouds that an atty produced. And therefor ruined my whole look on what I had spent my money on. So I went out next pay check and invested in a k-100 with a single coil atty..... I was told by my dad that it would do what I wanted......needless to say it didnt.... so I went back to my local shop and told me I needed a dual coil. But by this time I was low on cash.... so I sold my vission and protank and got my igo-w... and they showed me how to buile my coils and what not and drilled my air holes to 1/16. It was great... so I thought... I went back and went up to 3/32... amd as I was chillin inthe shop enjoying my airflow. Then said you know what lets go one more size. And now im happy as a clam lol.


Sorry for the long post but just thought id share my experience.

Now for all the noobz I thought we could share thoughts amd ask questions about certain things tanks attys batteries resistance building, and what ever else we can come up with. I may have answers and im sure others do as well

I'm just only today starting to play around with the airflow.

Would it affect the taste?

I would say dont go bigger than 3/32 or the next size above that (I honestly forgot the size im at I just know its one size bigget than 3/32) just because once you start going bigger than that you will start losing flavor

The clouds I get are wonderful and the flavor is perfect where im at. My friend has bigger than 1/8 I just find that to be madness but people do it. He says he gets a lot cooler smoother hit but I know he loses a lot of flavor in the process

Are yyou using an attomizer? You drill out the airholes of your atty to get a bigger airflow amd it keeps your coils cooler

That's interesting, I wasn't sure how much of a difference the air holes would make. My friend has two holes, not sure on the size, probably 1/16 maybe 3/32, while I have three of the same size. There's definitely a difference, but I wonder if two 3/32 would have more of an impact then three, say, 1/16 holes?

So let me completely clear on this are you talking about the holes that are on the sides or the hole that is right at the bottom where the battery connects??

Not sure about OP, but I'm talking about the holes on the side of my tank.

I would believe so I've never hit one with three holes but if you do the math 3 1/16 would be equal to 2 3/32 holes so in theory you would be getting the same about of opening but the fact that ots not concentrated I think you would be losing to the 2 3/32 holes

Yeah that makes sense. So I'm wondering if I should find a way to cover one hole, and make the other two larger (I have plenty of tools and a stepdad with know-how to do so) and see if that turns out better. Even if I mess it up, I was looking to upgrade soon anyhow.

I just adjusted the airhole on my kfl+ a few times and came to the conclusion that opening it up 1/3 gives the best balance of cloud and taste.

It's worth a try. If you know and one who tig welds they could fill it in. That's what I was gonna do if I didn't like the size after I drilled it out lol I have a stainless atty so it wouldn't be hard

Its truly all preference. But from my experience on my igo the size im at is great for me my clouds and flavor are at an awesome balance
