Yep my X2 is 10 seconds just vaped it. Actually something interesting regarding the clearo.....this thread peaked my interest more and I tried a different clearo with different juice and it vaped a lot better....so I would like to retract my statement as I need to figure out the right combination of juice and clearo for my X2/X2 clearo combination....overall I love the X2 battery....with Cartomizers its phenomenal btw. SI was quick to get to my issue with the charge and I will be sending it back soon so thanks Imagine...meanwhile I am using it as a passthru till I can get it out.

I'm still questioning whether the X2 is fully charged. I always had to keep track of which usb/wall adapter was which. You are aware that Smokeless Image sells two types of usb wall adapters?

From my understanding, the X2 battery will charge only with the usb wall adapter that it came with. The one that ships with the X2 is a 1.5A "with 3x the power." The other is less. (I just looked on the website, it doesn't list the mAh of the lesser adapter, the one that ships with the X2 passthru is 1500mAh. I had both units and often got them confused. The X2 battery and its passthru cord are not recommended to be plugged into the computer usb port either.

I ended up giving away the less powerful wall units with my 78mm batteries and kept the 1.5v usb wall adaptor for my remaining X2's, so I no longer get them confused. I therefore am unable to compare them visually side by side. . I'm not sure if there is an easy way to tell them apart by looking at them together. Hard to tell from the website pics, they each were shot from a different angle.

Ok... So I emailed last night and they got back to me. a bit lengthy but ill copy and paste our conversation for anyone interested:

I got my order today that was a X2 650 auto battery, 2 clearos, a few blank carto packs, and some accessories. This was the first X2 / clearo product I ordered. I have been on the ECF forum trying to figure out if it is working right and whatnot. Ive been talking with Imagine and some other forum members trying to get their input but I figured I should ask the company and hopefully you guys can give me some insight.
I got the X2 and charged it up. I filled up my first clearo with some juice (70pg/30vg 16mg) to the 1.2ml mark and let it sit a while to make sure the wick was saturated. When I take a drag from the X2 the cutoff seems to be super short within 5 seconds. That is when the blue led light goes out and it stops vaping. Is this normal? I also dont seem to be getting much vapor and have tryed the clearo and a few cartomizers. Ive watched videos and asked people on the forum and it doesnt seem like the vapor is good regardless of the juice or switching out different carts and the clearo. Any help or input would be really appreciated, I dont know if its the product or just me. I havnt really had any other issues with Smokeless Image and love the company and my regular 78mm batts.
Thanks

SI:
I am very sorry for the inconvenience this battery is causing.
It can be possible that the battery is not using the proper voltage of 3.6
volts but could be out putting something lower in voltage. As well in fact
the cut off time for the battery should be around 7-10 seconds. I have
noticed from other customer input that the automatics sometimes do not
provide as much vapor due to the automatic switch needing extra airflow to
start and keep the battery on while you are inhaling where as the manual
battery will not require as much air and will provide a different quality
vapor.
If you would like I can test another auto and have a replacement shipped
out for you. As well I can have the battery switched to manual if you would
like to give that a try. Just please let me know.
-Bobby

So after the feedback I'm thinking the X2 is either defective or the AUTOMATIC STYLE X2 is completely screwing up/underperforming.

Im going to try to send it back and get a MANUAL X2 and hopefully that will resolve the issue. Last night I just couldnt and wouldnt believe the thing was working properly. After all the great reviews and feedback people have been giving the X2 I was almost positive there was something wrong.

Sitting down, facing forward.
I just got a second X2-650 with my order that included CE3s, I'm using a clearo with JC Original Peach liquid on it right now. The draw is "nominal", timeout is longer than I normally inhale for (about 3-4 seconds) and the vapor output is a little low. I attibute that to the fact the the JC Original liquids are PG based and PG has a lower vapor output than VG. If I use a VG based juice with the same X2-650 the vapor output is amazing, as in clouds of vapor. I think that if the VG ratio is higher or if there is at least some VG in the liquid, you'll find that vapor output is quite good. I like using the clearos since they are so easy to clean and switch flavors with, far easier than a carto or a CE3. All the variations, carto, XL carto, CE3 and clearo have their strong and weak points, it's just a question of which you find works best for you on an X2 or a small battery.

The X2 doesn't ship with a wall adapter; that is sold separately. The only thing it ships with is the charging cable. Imagine posted that both of SI wall adapters will charge the X2, but to use it as a passthru while it is charging, you'll need the 1.5A (1500mA) charger.

I wouldn't use a manual if you paid me. I like the natural feel of just taking a drag with an auto.

As for charging, I use the cable it came with and do all my USB charging on a 5-port HUB I picked up at Best Buy. Cute little thing, 1 port on top and 4 in the back. Been using this for a year now. No idea what it's output is, but must be sufficient cuz I have no problems charging batteries or PCC on it.

Thanks for correcting my error. It had been a while since I got my first X2 passthru;s. I did recently get a 3rd X2 for backup because my son has been trying mine out when he visits, and now I recall it only came with the battery and passthru cable.

Another vote here for the manual over an automatic button. My first X2 was an auto, and when it went bad with the air sensor I decided to get its replacement in a manual. Much prefered with more control over how you heat the juice. And no fears getting juice on the connector and killing the battery.

I really, really like my auto X2's but am considering getting a manual. Still considering though, as I know that I will grab an auto over a manual when it comes to the 78's. I have about a dozen+ Volt batteries and the only thing that gives me any persistent trouble is a couple of 78's that don't make a very good connection with the USB adapter/dongle. Other than that, performance is very consistent, whether they be manual or auto.

sending mine back and getting a Manual 650 X2 instead.

-i charged mine fully before i used it. there was something wrong with it. it shouldnt cutoff after 4 or 5 seconds. Ill let you guys know when i get the "real deal".
haha, when you get your manual, don't forget to turn it on first: hit the button 5 times really fast; the 5-click on/off timing is a little persnickety, so you may have to play with it a few times to get it to turn on. But once you get the timing right, you're golden - the on/off function is really great to have (no accidental activation in your pocket). And once the unit is turned on, it's manual vaping as usual.

Aw man, you should've seen me on my first day. :grr: I was so sure my unit was DOA!
