To try and find a store near you: Electric Cigarette|Eliquid|Supplies|Electronic Cigarette|Ejuice|Smokeless|Vapor Search USA

Also, I hope you order a second battery. Always have a back up for when the other is charging.

Also, I would recommend picking up a few disposables if you haven't vaped before. The vapor is different from the smoke, and you will cough and choke at first until you get use to inhaling correctly. Drawing on a vape is different than a cig as well.

Best of luck.

Thought the liquid I ordered came in 5oz but its 5ml. Ok, this sounds like this might be too expensive? I was thinking one $10 5oz of liquid would last a month. Sounds more like one $10 5ml of liquid would only last a day or two.

Anyone know where it get cheaper liquid? Was hoping to cut my smoking cost down from $40-50 a week to around $20 a month.

In the scheme of liquids, that was very expensive. Lesson learned.

For pre-mixed stuff "cheap" will be around $10.00 for a 30 ml bottle, average. BUT (here come 'da butts again) when you are starting you do not want to order a big bottle of anything. The harder part of starting isn't dealing with the hardware - it's finding liquid(s) you like. There is no easy path for this - you just have to try stuff. Some people aren't very fussy. Some people can - and will - vape anything. A few have a really hard time finding much of anything they like.

Stick with small bottles like that when you start - preferably 5 ml sample sizes even. And don't order more than a half dozen samples from one place at a time. Nothing worse for a newbie that getting huge bottles of stuff, or blowing a lot of money on 30 flavors from only one place - only to find out you don't like any of it.

It can be initially expensive to switch. Some peeps make hardware mistakes - getting the wrong things that may not work together, jumping right on expensive APV's for their first vaping experience etc. More, I think, spend too much on liquids - too fast - trying to find stuff they like.

Plus, you have to explore the difference between PG and VG in your liquids. Some people have issues with either type of base liquid as far as likes, dislikes, or possible "not so good" reactions. On a first order, get a liquid in 100 PG, 100 VG, and one with both to sort that out. Order small sample size bottles at first - but don't go crazy getting 20, 30 - or more samples at a time. It only takes finding one or two liquids you like to get you off to a great start.

Couple few places to look for inexpensive liquids:

Mt Baker Vapor: 10 ml is the smallest size they carry. But at $4.99 a bottle you don't get much cheaper than that.

Liberty Flights: Has inexpensive liquids and small sample sizes.

The Vapor Room: Quality liquids, a bit pricier. But they have weekly half off specials on flavors that rotate each week. Two different size options for sampler packs. And each order gets a free 3 ml sample and a first time order gets a free 15 ml bottle of your choice. Add it all up and it's a good deal to experience a lot of flavors for not much $$$.

Don't forget get that Coupons button on the top of the ECF pages - lotto places offer discounts to save money. Including all three I mentioned!

One thing not neen mentioned aaron is,
MAKE SURE you wash your kangers out before using them, I made that mistake, and was vaping juice and machine oil. I had gone out for the night, and had to stick with it.

Needless to say i was sick as a dog when i got home. (Fore warned is fore armed) just a heads up, and good luck.

Propelyn Gycol >sic> creates more flavor and throat hit, less vapor

Vegetable Glycerin produces more vapor, adds some sweetness

Some folks are sensitive to PG, but those with breathing problems sometimes get heaviness of chest with the VG. VG is also thicker than PG.

I like a 50/50 blend myself. Best of both worlds.

Where are you thinking about ordering your twist from? Some places have decent liquid, so it may not be bad to get everything in one place. For most stuff though, places that sell mostly hardware don't have good juice. Places that sell juice sometimes won't have very much in terms of hardware or are more expensive. It just depends.

Welcome aboard!
I started with one battery I bought a starter kit from a local B&M, 650mah EGO Battery with a USB Passthough so I could charge and vape at the same time. If it wasn't passthrough I would have had to have two batteries, so I agree with the above comments. I started with one tank but ended up buy another the day. MT3's in fact and by week 3 had 4 tanks so I could rotate flavor and strengths. I was a 20 year smoker that smoked a pack a day, sometimes more. I found that I needed the higher dose for the wake up vape and for the after meal vape. Had a lower dose for my daily vape. Started with 24mg, and more going into month 3 down to 6mg all day vape. The real bad cravings subsided after the first 2 weeks, so I really just vape because I enjoy vaping. Smoking analogs always seemed like a routine had to smoke before _____ and after _____ (fill in blank you know what I am talking about.) So back to you, the Twist is a great start, aways wanted one of those, skipped straight to a Vamo and iTaste SVD from my standard eGo. The VV is nice because all flavor react differently to higher/lower voltage, just start low and move up until you get the slightest hint on burnt taste and back off one setting. Should be the "sweet" spot, you will know when you taste it :)

Good luck and just stick with it, you can do it!

Thanks :) Such a friendly group of people here.

I already ordered it Friday from Vaporz Haven.

I like the name of the iTaste SVD. I have a Dragunov SVD :) lol. Anyways, I plan on ordering another battery or two and back up supplies.

I had also ordered two different 5ml of tobacco flavored juice which I paid too much for lol. Right now, I'm ordering two 15ml @$5 a piece of fruit flavored just to check that out. Sounds odd but might be good? That is from Mt Baker Vapor. Much much better prices than the othe place.

Hm... looks like Rickajho covered most of what I'd have to say. Though I would add Mount Baker (and others) sell unflavored nic juice and flavorings so you can mix how you like. It's also way cheaper doing your own mixes. I wouldn't suggest trying to jump straight to DIY when you're just getting started out. But as you get a good idea of what works for you and what you like, you can bring the cost way, way down. I spent $43 last month, $0 this month, and thinking of maybe $15 next month. Or maybe $45. I think I found a place to get 1000ml of unflavored for $30 (yeah, that's a thousand ml, a liter).

You'll have to spend some money at first to get set up, try liquids, figure out what works for you but the long run can be cheap.

Or you can make it a hobby and spend a ton. But that's optional. :)

(Lotta folks around here do make vaping a hobby. And more power to 'em. They're enjoying themselves and it keeps them away from the cancer sticks. Me, I gotta squeeze pennies hard enough to risk copper poisoning right now. The good news is, you can vape on the cheap. I know, I am.)

Atomizers are the actual coil portion that vaporizes the juice, clearomizers have an atty and plastic/glass tank to hold liquid, usually along with wicks depending on the design to draw juice into the atomizer coil. Cartomizers are metal tubes with stuffing/filler and a coil running through it, used mostly with cigalikes and cartotanks.

Attys and cartos and clearos! Oh my!

Attys: You directly drip liquid into them. They can be used with cartridges that have a filler inside which will hold the liquid too. Either direct dripping or the carts is low capacity and you need to either drip more or add liquid to the cart often. Up-side? This is the best way to try out new liquids. Easy to clean with minimal loss in order to change flavors. Attys - with or without a cart. - are pretty hard to mess up.

Cartos: Take that heating coil in the atty and combine it with the filler in a cartridge all into a single device. Simpler, convenient, and a lot of people swear by them. But they cannot be (easily) cleaned so once you put a flavor in one you are pretty much committed. If you let one go dry and burn the filler you have killed it. Generally a short life span - average 7 to 10 days. But they are inexpensive.

Clearos: Tooby thing that holds the liquid with no filler involved. A 3.5 ml size can last all day on a single fill. One of the easier options for a newbie to master. They have wicks instead of filler to get liquid to the heating coil. Bottom coil types rely on gravity to feed liquid to the coil. Top coil type require some tipping around to keep coil at the top saturated with liquid. Not as cheap as atty's or cartos, but generally they last a long time, are easily refillable, and with most you can replace just the atty coil rather than toss the whole thing out.
