Hi everyone. I’m really new to vaping. I started smoking analogs at the age of 15 and just recently quit. I smoked just over a pack a day of Marlboro Ultralights. I’m now 34. After 19 years, it feels good to have quit, although it’s been brutally difficult. I’ve been vaping Fumas from the local drug store, but I’m not very satisfied with them. After a lot of reading on this forum, I decided to order from V4L. There is SO much information floating around, however, that I’m still not very confident with what I’m doing. I’m hoping I can get some help, recommendations and suggestions from any of you since you all seem so experienced! Here’s what I ordered (I should be receiving the order in the next couple of days):

**
VAPOR KING-ULTIMATE MANUAL KIT
[with passthrough, USB charger, wall charger, carrying case, 2 manual batteries and 1 box of 5 carts (at checkout I selected: Premium Vapor King Kamel CoolCart Cartomizers 11mg)]

2 boxes of WOW Vapor Wowboy Cartomizers 11 mg
1 box of WOW Vapor VG Vanilla Cartomizers 11mg

Wowboy WOW Vapor juice (30 ml) - 11mg
2 Drip Tips
**

What else would you recommend that I order? Upon further reading on the forum, am I right in thinking that I should order some empty carts? Is there any other “equipment” that I should get? And since I’m so new to this (and I have a feeling I’ll goof up when filling the carts), should I order a bunch more filled carts?

I’m very open to flavor suggestions, too!

Thanks very much. I’m so excited to have found this forum!

Looks like you are off to a great start. I also agree with the idea of getting a few sampler packs to try out what you might like.

Blank cartos are excellent to start filling, but if I read right you have juice that is the same as some of the cartos flavors you picked. You should be good refilling those for now, the flavors match so you won't have to clean them to get rid of flavor cross over. Blanks are always the best and even going with the same flavor cleaning is sometimes a good idea, but you can wait if you want to try out what you have before you purchase anything else.

Good luck, congrats on your choice and welcome to our Family :D.

Hello hello. I am pretty new at this to so I just went through what you are going through right now. I been vaping for about 3 weeks or so and here is a bit that I personally learned.
1 if you are buying prefilled carts, buy more than you think you will use. Why .. Because you will use them. Also almost running out or using sample flavors that you do not really like to get by till they arrive really really sucks.
2 I just started filling my own. I think it is much much better than the prefilled ones. Refilling is easier than you first think. I refill many different ways. Some ways are experimental and I have not messed up a cart yet. I even clean old ones and reuse them. I think they are pretty rugged personally to take the abuse I put them through.
3 Buy more batteries. When you pick your ecig up and it starts blinking empty you will thank yourself as you look over and your other one is still charging.
4 have fun with it. No matter what type of analog you use to smoke, try different flavors. I was a menthol smoker and I do have my go to menthol flavor. With that said I have not picked up a mint flavor this whole week. Right now I am vaping lemon and it is excellent.
That's just a couple things I have learned in a few weeks. Welcome to v4l

Welcome to the family hon....and pretty doggies too:)

My first order was a starter kit like you and a WHOLE buncha sampler packs....You really never know what you will REALLY like. Well...I found that there weren't too many that I didn't care for (which makes it tough too), but found that I REALLY REALLY like the coffee flavs.....You may want to try one of them at a little higher nic level too. I was a lights smoker and am very comfortable with 18mg....I sometimes go for a little higher, but not often.....and I tend to go lower at night so I can sleep better....but everyone is different...it works for me:)

Anyway...Keyz gave, once again:), good advice...I love the xl batteries...the last a good long time between charges, and well there is just so much more of the pretty showing:blush:...and absolutely agree with the sampler packs...+1 to Keyz

Edit:....YAY...another Ohioan....

I agree with the suggestion of more batteries. It only takes a couple of times when both of your batteries die to realize that you need back ups. You don't realize how long it takes your batteries to charge until you are standing there yelling..."CHARGE!! CHARGE!! CHARGE!!"

Sampler packs are the best way to start. When you figure out which flavors you like, then I prefer to fill my own. I think you may be low on your nic choice. I used to smoke a little more than a pack a day when I switched. I started with 18mg and found that I was still a bit jumpy. I switched to the 24mg and it was perfect. 6 months later....I've stepped down to 18mg and intend to keep going down. Everyone is different, though.....just my 2 cents.

Thank you everyone very, very much for the wonderful welcome and your awesome help! Hopefully I'll receive my kit in the next day or two. I'll be sure to post my initial impressions right away.

Per your suggestions, I just also ordered a few sampler packs, another box of wowboy carts, as well as an XL battery (in blue!). Can't wait!!! :)
