New to vaping and could use some help.

Hello, I bought an eGo-V from Vapor Labs quite a few months ago and I haven't had much so luck so far in getting a good flavor; the first one I got turned brown and started tasting awful so I tried another from villain vapors (pair of deuces 24mg), I got through half a tank on a freshly primed cartomizer and it started tasting like plastic. I asked a guy at a different store if it could be because of the high nicotine content and he said that was probably it, so I bought a similar flavor of their own blend, but with a 12mg dose of nicotine. I'm halfway through the first tank of that and I'm getting the plastic flavor again. If I ignore the device for a while and come back to it the first puff will taste good, but every subsequent puff will get that same flavor. Am I doing something wrong or do I possibly have a bad device? I'm trying to quit smoking (1/2 pack-whole pack a day) so I really want to make this thing work.

What kind of carto are you using, and in what tank? Need a wee bit more information to help you here.

Your tank is the problem and the guy at the shop sounds like he misinformed you so you would buy more juice or just plainly din know nic content in m experience has never affected flavour just throat hit try a different clearomiser actually that being said what clearo are you using

I'm using a boge low res carto with a 3.5ml DCT tank

Yeah, sounds like you are getting not enough liquid to the carto filler, might be to thick a liquid for a single punch in the side. Try a dual punch or triple punch if already dual punch in the carto. If that don't work, try cutting a slot in the side with a dremel instead of a punched hole. Another thing about Boge cartos, when you prime them before insertion and filling first time, use a pin or something to wiggle the air post in them, this forces the air out of the filler to make it sponge up liquid better. Next you might step up to standard resistance instead of low resistance if you are a chain vaper.

Thank you so much for your help. I'm going to try out the standard res carto and see if that helps; a friend had given me a spare one along with another flavor (icy peach I believe) and that seemed to be the only time I had a consistent flavor through the whole tank. I'm assuming it was the standard res because I noticed it had larger holes in it. I actually asked the store that I went to for the standard res carto because that of that, but they only had the low res for sale. Thanks again! Will post back once I try this out.
