I just got my eGo twist and tried it briefly before putting it on the charger. What an amazing difference between using the Blu battery and the twist! I work out if a studio in Baltimore and may see if there is a vape shop near there to check out some accessories and flavors. Thank you all for the help and the great suggestion on the battery!!

You might want to check out Nettmixcustomvapes.com. They have 2 brick & mortar locations, open 7 days a week.

Too bad you didn't post that this morning! Today was my last day IN studio for a while. I mostly shoot on location. Do you know of anywhere to check out atound fairfax, va? I will be there the rest I this week.

You guys might find this interesting. Despite my earlier post urging the OP to try a bigger battery, I've had absolutely no luck convincing my WIFE to take the very same advice. Not that she hasn't tried...we've spent HUNDREDS of dollars experimenting with various kits for her.

She doesn't like ANY of 'em.

That's INCLUDING the pricey Smoov kit we purchased last year. If not for the fact that she's in and out of hospitals (cancer), she'd probably abandon e-cigs entirely. No patience whatsoever for charging batteries or filling carts.

The ONE ecig she seems to have finally accepted is...

...you guessed it...

...the Blu cig.

Why? 'Cause all you have to do is take it out of the box and use it. The problem with THIS, unfortunately, is she goes through 1 disposable a day! At $10 a pop, I don't have to be a math wiz to realize we'd spend a small fortune satisfying her urge for nicotine. So despite my apprehension, I purchased a Blu starter kit for her, which includes 2 batteries, a pack to recharge batteries on the go and 5 pre-filled cartridges.

It works for her, so I guess that's all that matters.

Sorry...'fraud not. But, I'm sure a site search here or Mr. Google will produce favorable results.

(Btw...congrats on your recent purchase!)

Congrats on getting the Twist. I started with V2 cigs and moved up to a Joyetech Ego Twist. My first tank was a Kanger M-T3 with a 1.8 Ohm atomizer, but soon I upped that to a Kanger Pro Tech II with a 2.5 Ohm atomizer. There's a big learning curve, and I didn't want to mess too much with juice and all of that, either. However, filling the Kanger Pro Tank II is a breeze. My only problem with the Kanger Pro Tank II is that it is rather airy, so I bought a couple of skirts and one of them cut down on the airiness of the draw. Having said that, there are still times when having a cig-a-like makes a lot of sense for me; so, while I still have the V2 cigs kit that I first bought, I also upgraded to the Joyetech eRoll kit. The eRoll tank is small, but I haven't had any problems filling it - it's really not difficult and it takes seconds to fill.

Regardless, it's all about what works for you...I may still step up to a 6v get up like a Provari, Lavatube, or Vamo, but I am still researching that stuff! Oh, I did recently buy an A6 drip atomizer to test flavors with...that may or may not be too much of a hassle for you, but for me it's an easy way to sample juices. For me, it has to be encouraging for me to keep on going without real cigarettes, and though I have spent more upfront switching to vaping, in the long run there's no question about the health benefits and the monetary savings.

Let us know more about your choices and the thoughts behind them as time goes on!

Thanks! I did end up getting an EVOD and a T3 to try out. They came today and I like the look of the EVOD, but like the way the T3 vapes better. I think the MT3 has the metal casing that looks a little more like the EVOD so I will check those out.

On the other hand...I ordered e juice from myvaporstore where I got my accessories and wish I hadn't. It is very perfume tasting, and unless the prod date on the cap (a month ago) is wrong, it shouldn't need to steep at all. So now I am taking a look at mtbaker that everyone raves about to see if I want to try some of their juice.

Awesome. I know from experience that some juices can melt through plastic and whatnot, so I'm very attracted the the Pro Tank II because of the Pyrex glass.

As to juice, you may already know this, but Blu uses Johnson Creek, so if you like the Blu juice, you might check out some of the offerings straight from Johnson Creek. I can't comment on Johnson Creek juice YET, but it is among the many juice orders that I should be receiving in the mail soon.

I considered the Johnson creek thing, but reading reviews it seems about 1/2 the vapers that like the blu flavors don't like the JC juice. I may look at it next time around, but I did just order a couple flavs from mtbaker to try out. I'm not sure i like the idea of having to steep e liquids, but I'm sure I can get used to it if I find one I like.

I may go the protank route as well, but I think I am going to try out some 510 carts when I get around to placing another order with mvs

I cannot really add much to what has already been said, but I'll say this and try to keep it brief.

I started out in a similar fashion to you; picked up a disposable and the went to cigalike kit. I stuck with the cigalike (volt starter kit from smokeless image) for about 6months and was happy. Their quality control far exceeds the blu equipment. Then I moved on to the ego/clearo that everybody is suggesting and am so glad I did. I keep the volt kit (which still works very well) as a back up.

Regarding juice and the perfume taste/odor you are getting, I had that same experience with a couple of juices from Mt. Baker vapor...just a warning. Couldn't stand the stuff. I actually still get my juice from smokless image and couldn't be happier.

Current set up is a ego 650mah and a vision vivi nova clearo.

Good luck sir, welcome to vaping and stick with it. Your lungs and loved ones will thank you.

For pre-done kits, I am a fan of V2. But I usually use an eVic, for the raw power that's available. But it is like carrying a huge cigar around. IMAG0167-169x300.jpg

I like the convenience of the blu carts, and I know I don't want to mess with any liquid. Would using one of those you mentioned produce a better hit with the blu carts, or will it basically be the same?

I thought the same thing, I really did. Unlike you however, I couldn't quit on the cig-a-likes. I bought a GreenSmoke e-cig kit in 2010. Tried it, tested it, shelved it. By the time I went back to it in 2012 it was dead, one of the cartos was pretty much welded to the battery.

Then I went Vapor4Life Vapor Titan and some of those. I liked it, started testing a bunch of flavors and found the USB version really gave a smoking feel. So I started using it more and more but did not quit, couldn't. This February I really started to try and ween myself off using the Titan and I stopped smoking in the car and sometimes at home at night. Cut down, went back to a pack a day, cut down for a week, rinse and repeat.

Then in June I went to my buddies B&M store in Florida and bought an eGo-T kit, and I quit the next day. Better flavor, better experience, better throat hit, better everything. I found dealing with liquids was pretty easy, if you pay attention while pouring you pretty much don't have a mess. Since I've upgraded some with some clearo tanks and some carto tanks but I still use the eGo batteries every day, I like them. So my initial investment is still in play every single day, making it economically advantageous which was the primary reason I wanted to quit.

Looks like you've made it about as far as me so I won't talk you off the Blu, you could ween yourself off that and put nicotine behind you forever. But vaping beyond the blu is cheaper (if you want it to be), more fulfilling and just a better overall experience. Whatever you choose to do, best of luck and congrats on ditching the analogs. :thumb:

So I got my mtbaker juice today, and even being a mere two days old and not yet steeped, it is leaps and bounds better than the stuff I got from myvaporstore. I don't notice any perfumey taste. I tried the gummi bear and the black clove (both 50/50 with no extra flavor shots added). Definitely ok to vape right when you get it, so it will be interesting to see how it is if I let it steep for a while.

Sounds like you are on your way, CameraGuy. Even though I have other mods, I still use my Egoc-Twist every day. Since it seems you have gotten pass the "not using liquid stage", you may want to try this on your Twist. A Davide mini glassomizers. Looks really good on a Twist. Easy to fill, comes all apart for cleaning, with the replaceable heads like an Evod.

Ok you guys talked me into getting an ego twist. I just ordered the battery to start and will work up to clearomizers and e liquids if the blu carts still aren't doing it for me. And I will blame all of you I I don't like the battery!

Nah...I'm just messin' with ya! :p

Thanks for all the info/posts.

EDITED because I didn't bother to read the latest posts you made before opening my big mouth..

Happy vaping!

I was vaping on my last Blu carto today and decided to try refilling one rather than going to the store to buy more. I put some of my mtbaker gummi bear in one of the cherry carts...yum! I think I have a vanilla one laying around somewhere that I can refill with some of the mtbaker black clove juice...I bet that will be good too. I have a feeling I'm going to end up being a carto guy, but may just try out new flavors in the t3 and EVOD tanks. Any suggestions on good cartos to get for when these Blu carts die on me are appreciated. (I seem to prefer a more airy draw than a tight one)
