My hubby and I have only been vaping and completely cigarette free for about 6 weeks. We were both heavy smokers, and this has been awesome to help us quit. We have been through about 5 different types of tank setups and have settled on DCT cartos. Mine seem to last me about 10-14 days, my hubby's however, only last 2-3. We both have Ego-C twist 900, but recently bought him an eVic. The new battery hasn't effected how quick he burns through a carto though. Wondering if the 2-3 days is normal?

The filling gets a burnt look and it tastes nasty.

I wonder if they are drying out somehow? It sounds like he is a chain vaper. Could be the holes aren't doing the job of keeping it wet, so maybe poke another. This happens with high VG, chain vaping and pressure problems.

You could get an IBTanked tank with a thingy, and that would help a lot!

We do vape the same juice at the same volts. We have tried drilling another hole but it saturated the carto too much. I have started poking through the filling with a stick pen (saw on a post on another thread) and that works great for me. Hasn't seemed to do much for him. Wondering about resistance? We are both using 2.? resistance cartos, can't remember exactly. I know they make lower and higher. Would that make a difference?

I have the smaller 3.5mL tanks and he uses the larger 6mL tanks. He will go through two tanks with different juice in them per day. I think that's a lot but he smoked about 2 pks per day, I smoked a pack. So do mine just last excessively long? Not that I would complain about that.....
How long does it take you to vape a full 3.5ml tank? If yours lasts a day or more, he's vaping about double what you are. Pair that with chain vaping causing the carto to stay at a high temp, it's no wonder yours last so much longer. I'm not saying it's dangerous or anything, just that the constant vaping combined with the constant high temp is going to cause the carto to clog much quicker. Think of it like making gravy - warming it up makes it thick. If you leave in on the warm stove for a while, it gets too thick, and if you try to add more liquid, well, it's too late.

Plus, some cartos just last longer than others, and there's no rhyme or reason to it. You may go 3 months with no problems, then all of the sudden, yours may be the problem & his will be fine......

They are 2.0 ohm smok cartos, 60pg/40vg ratio is what the supplier told me. I did find out last night that they are using vodka (a low quality) in thier juice. Would that cause this problem?

I agree with Charmschool but 60/ 40 VG/ PG is a high VG level- standards in the industry are 70/ 30 or 80/ 20 PG/ VG. They put the vodka in to thin the juice because the VG is thick and doesn't wick very well.

last night that they are using vodka (a low quality) in thier juice.
That's not right...we are inhaling this stuff into our lungs and ALL ingredients should be the very best. Couldn't possibly cost that much more to upgrade to a purer form of alcohol.
