As the title suggests, you have another newbie amidst your ranks! I have been a smoker now for nearing 21 years and I have tried vaping before and was SERIOUSLY let down. The kit I initially purchased was about 135 shipped and was just a bad overall experience. I was informed about a shop that had recently opened nearby and decided to check it out. I was thoroughly impressed at the selection of available juice, and the fact of getting to sample was even better. I picked my juice, then had them put together my ecig. Pictured below is what I got.

I have been doing much more online searching and actually think I will be upgrading very soon to the Joyetech eVic, or possibly the Provari. I may look around a bit more to see what's available, but I feel I really want something that's adjustable. I met another vaper today at my daughter's birthday party that had a very nice setup, though I can't remember exactly what it was. I think this was the one, but I can always call and find out for sure lol. Anyhow, I look forward to gathering all the info I can and sharing my future vape experiences!

Cheers,
Roy

You don't sound like a noob! I have been through a ton of hardware...ok, that's a bit of a hyperbole, not really a ton. I went with an Ego c twist for the cost. The variable voltage and changing heads on a mini vivi or evod bbc has really changed my experience. I had plans to upgrade to a "better" (read expensive) model, but for now I am quite happy. Call me a noob too. I have spent a lot over the years but I still am in the primary stages.

I have a ego-c twist (my wifes) and a provari v2.5 (mine) and I have compared the 2 and the ego is ok but I like the provari as it feels more durable and has a screen to verify my current volts and has been proven to be at the volts set to and stays that way until the end of the battery cycle and is very reliable.

You can check out my video if you like, I have only been vaping 3 weeks but that is only vaping and I have been doing lots of research for the last 3 months, EpicVaping - YouTube

You live and you learn, now you have us to help you along the way ask away and you will get your answer you need even at this late hour.

Such is the case with many things! I was really tempted in returning it at first. My wife had a problem with hers (same setup) in that she would hit the button to take a draw then there was a snap and it wouldn't fire. She would have to connect the charger to reset it(?) and it would work for a draw then repeat. Really weird. I thought it was the battery, so I swapped mine and it did it as well. We got no instruction manuals and my receipt was emailed to me, but there were no instructions there either :( I got to looking at some things and figured it was the coil that was bad. We finally got back to the shop and sure enough, the coil. LOL! They swapped it out with no problem and was happy to do so. I decided I would keep my gear. I have to say, it hits very well for a starter setup. I figured out how to make little adjustments to give a cooler or warmer hit. I am enjoying it now! I can't say that I am not wanting a cigarette, but I figure after a day or 2 of use, that will pass.

Give yourself about a week or two away from cigarette smokers and get yourself some Zero Odor. Your sense of smell is about to get very very sensitive!
If the urge to smoke gets strong, you can go to a higher level of nicotine, and then taper down easy-peasy.

Welcome to the club!

Considering you only had one set up before this, that's pretty dang good. I have a bad track record and an e-cig graveyard. As for still wanting a cigarette even after a better set up, I can say for me it took a bad week when I switched over, and then a while after of still wishing. I believe the other junk in analogs creates a hard withdrawal for some and nothing for others. I have no desire for a cigarette now, and even when my chain smoking friends start up I'm happy with my vaping. Totally worth it and the feelings should pass.
