Just got my vapor two days ago, I bought Blu because of the design, 30 day money-back guarantee, PCC, price, and the 1 year warranty.

While I love vaping, I have a couple of questions if you guys don't mind offering your wisdom and advice:

1. What should I look for as far as defects go? I got this as a gift and don't have money to be throwing away on testing out different brands and models.
2. How long are the Blu cartridges supposed to last? It says 7 cigarettes but I'm averaging about 2-3 cigarettes per cart which is terrible efficiency.
3. Any particular mods I should look into? (I can do the research, just break down the improvement I will see for the particular mod).
4. Any particular maintenance I should be performing on the Blu? The website mentions nothing about maintenance but a contraption like this seems like it will demand maintenance.
5. What the hell is that aluminum foil in the cart? I noticed some of them have a hole in it if you twist it after inserting the cart (which the Blu people recommend you do). Because of that hole (and paranoia that it will just leak vapor) I don't twist anymore after inserting a cart.

BTW I'm just gonna leave this here until I get a cig...I mean, sig. :p

I'm sure no one is ignoring you, it's just those questions have been beaten to death. Do some reading on this forum and your questions will be answered. Foil is used to keep the liquid fresh and from spilling. You get more from them if you twist the carts some.
Thanks Schmoe. With the help of members on another forum and some research, I've been able to answer most of my questions.

I really didn't find an "end-all" FAQ here that answers those questions to someone who just jumped in the vapor scene (and it can be a drag having to sift through posts that contains so much terminology; everyone assumes you know what they're talking about). Hopefully my thread will be of help to someone else.

Also, I hope people don't view me as someone who has to have everything spoon-fed to them and contributes nothing back. I did my research on the terms used and if I can help a n00b out through the wisdom that I've gathered, I will. I'm one of those people that enjoy helping others.
