So I'm new to vaping. I believe I have an apire ET-S glass clearomizer along with the aspire CF sub battery. Now here's where the questions start.

The clearomizer, does this need to be replaced? How and when will I know it needs to be replaced, if at all?

I know the coil does need to be replaced, after maybe two weeks of heavy use. I don't heavily use my vape, but i've been having some real issues.

1. My vape juice spits in my mouth sometimes. (Bad coil?)
2. I hear gurggling when I press and hold the button before inhaling (juice leaked into coil?)
3. The bottom of the tank gets hot (is my battery damaged?)
4. When i unscrewed the tank and coil, i saw juice. But brown. So i decided to test something out. Didn't screw the tank back on and decided hey. Lets see what happens if I hold the button. Welp juice leaked out and it was brown as well. Not only that but smoke came out of the coil along with the bad juice and the coil was extremely hot. Burned my finger. I already know the coil is BAD. But i'm wondering if this damaged my battery.
5. Also when I decided to check the juice in the tank, this turned slightly brown. Probably due to that coil.

I'm wondering if ANY of my hardware is damaged at all, what should I do? Should I just replace the coil and see what happens? Is the battery damaged? What should I do?

I know I asked a bunch of questions, I guess that's what happens when you're a newbie haha.

Forgive me. That is a strange combination.

Also, the ET-S used to ship with BDC atomizers which were the work of the dark side.
My coil (atomizer) lasted 16 hours. Then I put a BVC in the ET-S.
A few weeks later, I threw away the ET-S and got a mini Nautilus.
Unless it has leaked real bad, your battery should be OK. It's a nice battery. Do you have a special adapter for it? The ET-S doesn't have a 510 connection and wouldn't fit a CF battery without one.

I'm sorry... that sounds very complicated.
Maybe just get a different tank, one that's more reliable and uses modern coils (atomizers)

I would try changing the coil and see if the problems resurface.

Beyond that I would agree with Mr Djsvapour and consider replacing the tank.

The coil will get hot without the tank because being surrounded by the juice in the tank goes some way to cool it.

Absolutely right! Very good. And if the juice in your tank is having to work hard to keep your atomizer cool, the flavor is being dulled by the heat. Airflow is what should properly cool your atomizer/tank. I'm with Ms. Minion, and um.. DJS. You need a better JDS (Juice Delivery System). You will get more enjoyment out of it. If that's a 22mm wide device, my fave JDS is the Crown (or Crown Mini for your smaller device). SO much flavor, and coils are very easy to replace, plus you can rebuild them when you get to that level. :)

Edit: Oh, and Hi @KrispyChips ! Welcome to ECF! ;)

re-think...

Do you mean CF (Carbon Fibre) SUB or just CF? :)
Picture time! haha. Not exactly sure of what it is so might as well take a picture.
I'm thinking about just replacing the coil and seeing if that does anything If not I may just replace the whole tank itself... good or bad idea? haha

Thanks! Haha. I'm curious about the coil rebuild now ;) I'll probably replace the tank in time. But i'm starting small for now. I do notice the flavor is dulling and that's not cool. Thank you again!

Sweet! Thanks, I'll probably either order some or just go back from where I got them from (even though I don't like the guy at the kiosk) :/
Hello @KrispyChips and welcome to the forum. I'd recommend an upgrade to an Aspire Nautilus Mini. There are about a hundred vendors affiliated with ECF and it is a great place to start in looking for new gear. Usual shipping time is 4 days from most US vendors in the continental US. You can check these links:

DEALS and STEALS - Deals and Steals (go to last couple pages)
FORUM SUPPLIERS - ECF Forum Suppliers
COUPONS - Stores - ECF E-Cigarette Coupons

I have personally received great service from these vendors:
www.myvaporstore.com
www.originvape.com
www.vapesupersaver.com
www.sweetvapes.com
www.mtbakervapor.com
www.myfreedomsmokes.com
www.madvapes.com
www.gotvapes.com
www.vapeNW.com

The tank you have is a good starting tank, and I had a few issues with mine so I upgraded to the Nautilus. It never hurts to have a back up tank or mod, because even a back up is better than grabbing a cig.

Don't be shy, there are many here to help. Good luck in your journey.

Some brown juice left over is not necessarily a symptom of bad coil. The wick is not purely one directional, normal gunk build-up can leak back into the juice. I dump the very last of a tank sometimes, and even clean out the whole thing after months. If the juice is reddish or other odd color however, that's from it being heated from excess heat before even reaching the coil, and may lack flavor.

    howdy! and welcome!

the tube mod you are using is a very decent, user friendly device (have had a couple and still use one periodically) - likely what you are going to find the culprit to be is that tank... on the upside, since that tube/ mod is capable of sub ohm, you have a huge variety of tank options available (though using sub ohm coils may or may not be the ticket for you - really a matter of preference)

for a +ohm option, the nautilus tank is an excellent tank - great for MTL (mouth to lung) vaping, little tighter airflow and overall very reliable... for a sub ohm option, as LLB recommended, the Uwell Crown is very hard to beat in regards to flavor, performance and ease of use

    Candy corn yum :pervy:
Yea you need to replace the coil whenever your vape starts to taste harsh or burnt. That could be anywhere from a few days to a week or more, depending on the juice and your tolerance to a funky coil :p
And always be puffing to draw air when you push the button to keep the coil and juice from overheating and burning the wick. :)
