See rolygate's and my answers to the "A beginner MOD" question also posted in this ATV forum during the past couple days. They point to where to get 5V (as well as variable voltage) mods, especially inexpensive ones. See this post of my Wonderful World of Mods for descriptions, photos, and links of other (more expensive) high or variable voltage mods.

However, I urge you to give strong consideration to a "fat batt" (i.e., eGO-type) and LR (low-resistance) atomizers. You express dissatisfaction with how frequently you have to recharge batteries and with the wimpy intensity of the vape.

  • High mAh addresses the first of these concerns and it can be found in both the fat batts and in (some) mods.
  • High power addresses the second concern and it can be created by either a 5V+ mod or by an LR atomizer.
This article describes many of the fat batts and why they have become so exceedingly popular.

The least expensive (good quality) fat batt at this time is the 750 mAh Riva-510. That's 2 2/3 times the staying power of your 280 mAh KR808D-1 batteries. Should take you through an entire workday. Liberty-Flights is selling it for $30 (using 20% off discount code: "ecf"). [It's their two-battery/two atomizer "LITE BUNDLE".] A somewhat longer PV that would last you all day and evening is the 1100 mAh Riva 1100, sold by BreezEsmokes for $48. These Rivas can be used with all of the many atomizers and enhancements available for the eGO, including...

LR atomizers, which, I believe, will knock your socks off! And there are so many types of LR these days: 510 atomizer, 510 cartomizer, CE2 cartomizer, 306 atomizer, Mega/XL eGO atomizer, Mega/XL eGO cartomizer – at various resistance levels – plus others requiring an inexpensive adapter. Might as well start with the LR 510 atty from the same supplier as your fat batt, e.g., Liberty-Flights or BreezEsmokes.

If you hadn't expressed such dissatisfaction with the Kr8 cartomizers, I would have recommended Kr8-based fat batts, such as the new $50 XXL 1300 mAh Elegant. Actually, with the more advanced Kr8 cartomizers (e.g., Vapor4Life's WOW or Bloog's MaxX Fusion) filled with your own e-liquid, this might work well for you.
