Hey guys, so I am entirely knew to vaping and just ordered an eGo-C Twist 1000mAh, Vision Vivi Nova V3, and some juice from Red Dragon Vapors. I am a long time hookah smoker but have only recently started having adverse reaction to the coals uses to smoke hookah. This as left me unable to smoke hookah if I have to prepare it myself which means I have to go to lounges to get my craving satisfied. This is not at all cheap and therefore I leave the hookah lounge for special occasions. So I am trying out vaping to see if this satisfies me.

When I first started out smoking hookah, I was a bit overwhelmed by all the terms, parts, variations, preparation, etc...that went into a good session, but I soon learned it all and it wasn't a problem. I'm feeling the same way about vaping but hopefully that will pass in time.

So far I have two questions. Will this eGo USB Rapid Charger work for my eGo-C Twist 1000mAh?
and
What/when will I need to replace on my Vision Vivi Nova V3?

And yes, I know I need to get another battery, but I don't have the money for that right now.

Thanks guys

Welcome, I have been using the same vivi novas I bought almost a year ago. All you will need to do is replace the head inside or learn to rebuild it which is quite easy. You will have to be careful with certain juices in it because cinnamon and citrus juices will react and crack them. A PBusardo Tutorial - Vivi Nova Cleaning & Rebuilding - YouTube

Yes, you will learn the terms and the variations in equipment and liquids, just as you learned the hookah.

I have not looked into the rapid charger but if it's for an ego, it should be okay - double check with other ECF members on that.

You will need to replace the head fairly soon, just when depends on what you vape and, how much you vape, perhaps a few days, perhaps a few weeks. Sweeter, Higher VG, darker colored liquids will mean needing a new head for your Vision sooner than the opposites (less sweet, more PG, light colored) liquids will.

What exactly is rebuilding? I've heard that term used a lot, but I'm not sure what it actually means.

Yeah I'm concerned about the battery not working since I don't really understand the whole voltage and mAh thing and what works with 510 and what doesn't.

The liquids I got are a blend of VG and PG. Are the heads, the part the wick is on? If replacing them becomes too expensive I've also heard of the Kanger T3 about the same but it being cheaper, would anyone suggest I go with the Kanger instead? I know that the Vivi Nova I got comes with 2 extra heads, so hopefully I won't have to worry about that for a while.

Interesting, so if all goes well in the rebuild, that would save money in the long run. I might try the rebuild then and see how it goes, once everything arrives. Yeah the place I bought my Vivi Nova sells replacement heads for $2.95. Seems like the rebuild and replacing the wicks myself might be cheaper overall though.

Is there anyway to tell when you need to replace a head? I'm guessing less vapor, odd taste, etc?

You will need to learn how to dryburn your heads. It is very simple and there are many videos. The sweeter your juices the more gunk will accumulate on the coil. You will notice a slight burnt taste or less flavor/vapor. I have coils that have lasted up to two months with regular cleaning and dryburning. My silica wicks usually degrade first.

Yeah, actually, that's just what they call the ones for the eGo batteries. Not sure why. I guess because a 510 charger will work on an eGo but it'll take forever? So the eGo charger is "rapid" in comparison? But that's kind of like saying, "Using the right charger works better"? Dunno.

But, yes, a USB eGo "rapid" charger is charging one of my eGo Twists right now. And will do so over the next 4 hours. Which is... kind of rapid?

What/when will I need to replace on my Vision Vivi Nova V3?

I dunno the Vivis well (though I have one, I don't use it much). But in general, clearos last quite a while. The most likely thing to go on a clearo is the coil head. The little "heater" that vaporizes the juice. And they don't seem to fail too often. I think I've had one go south on me in the last couple of months or so. And they're not terribly expensive. I get them for about $3 each.

And yes, I know I need to get another battery, but I don't have the money for that right now.

Check around our Forum Supplier section. I've got a pretty tight budget myself but have found some really good deals poking around the registered vendors here...
