I just received my Red Dragon--first ecig--today. I don't particularly like the M'boro flavor. I understand that I can use cartridges from greensmoke, Smoke 51, Bloog and others. Is this true? and can I use from any E9 type? These are the carts with the atomizer built in. I thought it was unique when I ordered, but since waiting I have spent much time in this forum.

Also, I understand that there are new versions and old versions of the cart. Can I assume the new versions are the ones with 5 to a box instead of 4?

What is RY4? What is best flavor for a guy that has preferred to smoke Marlboro Reds for 20 years? 555? Flue cured? and where can I get the best for these carts? and what is best way to figure out what I like so I can buy in bulk?

Next, my office kinda smells like a tobacco shop (not smokey, but tobacco smell). Is this right? I thought there would be little to no smell..
tips? sorry for so many questions, like I said, I am NEW!!!

I usually smoke the prefilled then just pull the stuffing out and wash it in hot water. Dry it out with paper towels then reinsert it. Filler up with your favorite juice and go to town :D

You'll save a lot of money going with juice instead of prefilled carts also. Seems there are a lot of vendors in the supply section getting their juice deliveries in.

Opps just noticed it's a cart/atomizer combo. Sorry was just skimming through. Those would be harder to fill but not impossible.

I'd suggest looking for a 510. Like the Extreme trial ones from Choice Vapor for 25.99. Looks like a good deal to bad he just went out of town until the 21st. There are a lot of new products becoming availible too. Search the forums and look at the ScrewDriver, Prodigy, Janty Stick and GG. The batteries are a big downside to the cigarette size devices.

Thanks again, D. I think I'll stick with this one for now. I have seen many tips on filling these, after spending some time on the board. I will let you know how it goes.

looking forward to no more analogs. actually haven't had one since I rec'd the Red Dragon yesterday morning. getting hang of it. think I'll try some more exotic flavors.

too late for me to get a father's day gift, I already had her get me a new helmet for hockey (playing adult leagues with my 67 year old smoking father for past 3.5 years). Will be so much better to be able to breathe while playing...

truthfully, I have quit many times, and keep coming back due to the habit, not the nicotine. don't see giving up as hard now, and will be to the 0mg liq soon. I just like the habit so much, that this is a great answer. Wish they were a little lighter, as I one of my main habits is to work in the yard or garage with a cig dangling out of mouth. not that easy, but I am sure it will get there, and this is still better than smoking.

Know the feeling, I've been trying to quit for ummm the past 15 years or so. Just like smoking to much.

Funny that you mentioned working with one in your mouth. I like to use the 901 with the slim tip to do that. Great to hold onto with your teeth. Also, the micro ecigs like the Janty Fogger *306* has a nice cartridge that is kind of rubberized and it is light. Funny how different ones have different plus's.

Put a regular cig in my mouth awhile back and it was funny I kept biting and squishing it.

The red dragon is the first e-cig I started with. You can refill the carts. Just stick an unfolded paperclip in the hole at the filter end (the part that goes in your mouth) and pop the rubber piece off. Drop your drops in there and let them soak in for a few minutes.

I have since moved on to the penstyle and it is 10 times easier! I have the jantystick on order and hope this will be the "final answer". I am going broke here. haha

Thanks Rah.

I know what you mean. I keep reading all these threads (not only am I new to smoking, I am new to forums/blogging/whatever you call this) where they talk about saving money. Yet below the signature they list about 10 different models that they vape with. How are they any better off financially?

I am doing this for health and hassle, only. wish I didn't even have this habit.

I think half of the folks here (although great advice and super nice) are just as addicted to writing these comments. They must sit at the pc with the USB connected to the ecig and puff away while they write.

I have the red dragon/E9 model and I have purchased Green Smoke carts and they work. I wouldn't buy them again though. They gave me the wrong strength, the coffee flavor has absolutely no taste, and they're too expensive. For charging $14 for 5, you'd think they would have only sell quality stuff and double check orders going out the door.

I have yet to successfully refill a "cartomiser" with e-juice. After I open them up and put a few drops in I can get 1 or 2 hits, then they die. I'm looking into buying a 3 piece system because these cartomisers are only equivalent to about 1 pack of smokes. I've also tried putting a drop or two onto the battery end of the cart and letting it soak down in to the hole, or by putting the rubber end on first, and pulling it off to make a suction effect to pull the juice into it.

But, I haven't had any luck with customizing these two piece disposables, looking to use these only as backups.

Haha, I'm definitely not saving money yet. Just my life. The upfront cost is more but hopefully what I have will last the rest of the year. TW order came in today... couple 510's, PCC, a 901 and extra bats, atty's and carts. Found out that 36mg is way way to strong for me also. Time to start mixing my own I suppose. Woohoo time to set up a lab.

More of a hobby now I think. Cheaper than my last one but the Supercharged GTO still gets my heart pounding when it whines up :D
