Welcome i2ain !

The joye 510 if your on a budget or the eGo if battery life is important to you. I would personally go with the eGo, a huge improvement over the standard 510 but does cost a little more.

Be sure to get a couple bottles of e liquid and a couple extra attys. I would recommend getting a few different flavors in 5-10ml bottles (try out some different strengths also). There is nothing worste than buying a huge bottle of juice that you hate lol.

As far as atty go try to get the ones from joye, they are about the same price as the knockoffs and generally perform better and last longer.

If it don't have to look like a cigarette, go for the eGo for hours of battery life and use the 510 cartomizers with it, you will by pass all the frustration. If it has to look like a cigarette then get the 510 no box like stated above and also the 510 cartomizers. The eGo is a 510 with a bigger battery, kinda looks like a stubby cigar.

Alright so i will probably buying these from thevaporpro.com

Joye 510 Stainless Steel Electronic Cigarette Starter Kit

and these liquids-

Vapor Boost

LorAnne flavors

And Propylene glycol pharmacopoeia- Grade 30ml

Does that seem right for vaping without nicotine ?

And let me get this straight, i keep refilling the cartridges that come with it with the three liquids?

Thanks a bunch

Hi all... total noob to this stuff here, but I thought I'd report on my (all of) 3 days experience with vaping. I'll also have to watch this thread for posts on what to get, and I have a question or two myself.

Anyway, I've been smoking like a damn freight-train for almost 26 years. I knew I needed to get off the analogs, they're killing me... so on a lark, I ordered one from smokingstick.com. DON'T get this one, other noobs... with a little research after my initial impulse-order, I realize now that I got had. Chalking it up to experience. it took almost a month to show up, is overpriced, and tastes, well, kinda funky. Q for the Pros: What model is this, what carts will work on the btty/atty I already have until I get a good e-cig?

(For other noobs, or those thinking about starting vaping:) That said, I've been totally won over to vaping by this inferior, overpriced thing... I don't EVER want to go back to analogs again. As crappy as it is, it converted me. I smoked a pack and a half a day for years of Natural American Spirits (the blue packs); very, VERY strong cigs. First day of vaping, I went from 30 spirtits to 13... second day I had 6 analogs... third only 3... and in just three days, I can notice my lungs clearing up. Swear to the Big One Upstairs, I can feel increased lung capacity. Longtime heavy smokers, you know that nasty hack in the morning? I'm still having it, and during the day sometimes (like always), but there's less crap coming up, like the old windbags are getting a chance to "clear themselves", you know? And it was nowhere near as bad today as it was 3, or 30, or 300 , or 3000 days ago. The craving for a "real" smoke is getting less and less... I even notice myself craving now the "funky" taste of this crappy, lowbrow thing I bought by mistake! Honest, they really work.

Ok, so now another Q for the Pro's:

After reading the forums here a bit... well, it's sooooo much info to absorb, and I'm running low on carts (lol)... time is a factor here. I'm thinking the first decent PV I'll get should be a Joye 510 (501)? They appear to be the most popular, or at least very common. That means to me that there will be many parts, carts, atty and batt'y suppliers to choose from. Where should I look for a starter kit that's reasonably priced and ships quick? Not like I'll stick with that particular supplier, but just to get started with a 510 that isn't impossible to find parts for? Looks like I'll be forced back on analogs for a while until I can get set up... but once I get a decent PV, I'm NEVER going back to analogs. (ok, maybe once in a blue moon when I go to New Orleans, but otherwise, NEVAH).

Also, I'd like to mention that the idea of hundreds of different flavors for my "nici-fix" is AMAZING. I mentioned how I now crave the crappy taste of this thing I bought... made me think of how tobacco first tasted (like s**t, honestly), but then it becomes a taste you crave. I look forward to experimenting with different flavors & will post "recipes" as I come up with 'em... :) BTW, I'm also a longtime Absintheur, and I think my first Holy Grail will be a passable "Absinthe" mix....

Anyway, for all here, thanks for this forum; vaping may very well add many years to my life. I'll be around for good.

If you're looking for a 510 check out Cignot your Midwest Electronic Cigarette store. They have a great price for a no box. If you're looking for better life go with their eGo. Pick you out some small bottles of juice in different levels to see what actually works for you.

Oh and welcome to ECF and vapeing! It's a great world!

My first Vape was a "disposable", with a Cartomizer.
I liked it. but the rechargeable of the same brand was too 'spensive.
so I looked around on the interweb, and decided on the E9.

Got my kit, two batteries, and 5 carts, with charging get-up.
All in a nice box.
Well pleased with it, and the flavors available are too numerous to list.

Now on to the bad part. I've not found anyone local who carries anything similar. They all carry the 3 piece, but not the 2 piece.
And when I showed it to one of the folks at the store, they remarked that it was totally unique. Dang, I gotta buy supplies from China.
And untill recently, my orders (re-fills, etc.) have arrived post-haste.

Thanx
