Hay MattB,
I just started vaping about a month ago, I tried already mixed juice some are ok but I like lots of flavor!! I'm mixing my own now it's super easy. If you get the ejuice app from the app store it makes it very easy mix just what you want. I get my flavors from The Flavor Apprentice online you will need nic juice and vg or pv to mix. You can get a starter kit from One Stop DIY Shop. Plus you'll save money!!

I'll probably try mixing my own juice too once my prefilled cartos are almost done. Although i dont have a smartphone, therefor i wont be able to get the app.

Seeing i live in Canada, i wont be able(dont want to take the risk) to buy nicotine products from over the border. I have yet to find an e-store here in Canada that sells nicotine only juice for the DIYer.

My main goal in trying vaping was to quit the addiction of smoking altogether though, so i might just stick to 0mg vaping. If i do, mixing shouldnt be a problem as nothing would get seized at the border.

Thanks for the reply!

    in a cave, eh?
Happy Vaper sells Bloog accessories that are compatible with your kit. You can also look at Heaven-Gifts.com (Chinese wholesaler) for KR808D-1 accessories. If you didn't get a PCC with your kit, a KR808D-1 XL PCC is nice to have.

A PC juice calculator is available here: eJuice Me Up - e-Juice e-Liquid Recipe Calculator

As for flavourless nicotine juice, so far I have had no problems with BoxElderChemicalSupply.

I'm in the same boat. I purchased an Apollo Extreme Kit before I found out about this forum and before I became knowledgable about the nic ban in Canada. :( (which I think is ridiculous, by the way). In any case, when I get it, I'm going to use it. I don't think it's a bad kit at all, but I'd have to be dealing with Canada Customs all the time to get new cartomizers and that's something I just don't want to be jittery about all the time. In the meantime, I've been reading alot on this forum and making a better choice for my main PV. An eGo. :D Don't sweat it.

Nope not yet. 9 days and counting. Last update on the tracking # was that it was in trasit to my location, but that was only 2 days ago.

This is what i have so far.

    Detailed Results:

Processed Through Sort Facility, August 09, 2011, 2:01 pm, ISC MIAMI FL (USPS)
Arrived at Sort Facility, August 09, 2011, 1:58 pm, ISC MIAMI FL (USPS)
Processed through Sort Facility, August 09, 2011, 3:06 am, MIAMI, FL 33152
Electronic Shipping Info Received, August 07, 2011

So it took them from the 2nd to the 7th to even send shipping info to US mail. Thats not all that bad, but it's a bit dissapointing when they advertise same day shipping(excluding weekends). Hopefully i get it soon cuz i'm sick of smoking analogs.

This product will hopefully be my door to a new non-smoking world.

Only thing though is that i keep reading disturbing things about HC ... seems like they are trying real hard to put a stick in our suppliers wheels here in the great white north.

With me just getting in the game, i sure hope they dont screw up my efforts to get off the analogs just for a few bucks.

I'm going to be royally ...... if that happens.

Sadly, it's been reported (and confirmed with at least a couple of customs agents known to a member here) that HC has just placed a ban on all E-cigarette merchandise. Now, granted, that doesn't change much -- we've all been ordering juice without incident so it isn't like our hardware has any less chance of getting by customs because of this -- but there it is. Fortunately there are some things being done that will hopefully improve the situation for us Canuck vapers and the local vendors we support. Basically, we're about where the US was with the FDA about a year ago or so, so more or less we'll have to go through the same trials and hopefully land in the same spot.

Well, that's just swell. Gunna be buying from Canadian vendors only from now on and let them handle the risks for me from importing over the border.

That being said, i'm at 23 days and counting since i placed my order from V2 ans still havent received anything. My tracking # tells me it cleared customs on the 15th ... and i'm only about 1 hour away from the border ... there's no reason i shouldn't have it by now ...

I called V2 yesterday and demanded they put a claim in to USPS to see what happened to my package. I should be getting a call back within 48 hours they say with the status.

If i dont get a call back or dont receive my package by friday, i'm going to ask for a full refund and buy from Canada ... anybody know a vendor up north who sells KR808 starter kits? I think i would much prefer carto's than having to deal with atomizers seperately.

Happy Vaper carries the Bloog MaxxFusion kits, and Best Vapour carries the Volt kits (black only for now but they should be getting a couple more colours in a month or so).

    Thanks for the tips.

I just checked my tracking # again ... and my bloody package JUST cleared customs ... apparently i read the 1st entry wrong. It took them 10 friggin' days at border services to process it for f$%^ sakes.

Now that it's finally back on the road, i expect getting it mid next week i guess. By the time it gets to my local postal office and gets processed there ...

Talk about a long wait ... i never expected to take 1 month + to get it.

Lesson learned ... support local economy and buy from canadian suppliers only!

Well, I've personally not had any difficulties in dealing with US vendors or issues with customs, but even so I'm not surprised to see a package sit at the border for a week and a half. Like any government service, it can take them a few days just to get up in the morning.

But I like to support my local vendors when I can, too. I haven't done much lately just because none of them have carried what I've been looking for.

Finally got my kit. I have to say, i find it hard not to smoke analogs with it, although i did get the 0mg cartridges. We shall see over time i suppose.

I think i'll try my luck at filling up my own blank cartos for now, and eventually try to DIY.

Anybody know any HOW TO vid on how to fill up these things? The holes in the catomizers are pretty damn small. I cant imagine being able to fill these up without taking it appart.

Assuming these are standard cartomizers, you should be able to just pop off the silicone end cap by sticking in a toothpick or bent paperclip and prying it off. Should come off fairly easily. Then you just drip fill down the sidewalls while rotating the carto to ensure even distribution of the liquid. Once it starts looking like it's taking longer to absorb into the filler, or once it starts dripping out the far end, that's when you know it's full. Blow out the excess from the tip end, replace the silicone cap, and you're done.

I checked out a video on youtube. They call it the condom method. Pretty simple. Fill up the rubber cap half way full, then sit your carto in it and press lightly until it hits the bottom. If juice starts squirting out the battery side hole, then it's full. Pull off the cap and wipe everything off and your set to vape.

Now i need to find some 100% VG nic juice in canada to start trying to DIY. Gunna hit up my local Bulk Barn and pharmacy to get me some flavors and USP VG to cut my nic juice with. Maybe get a few seringes and dropper bottles too to help with the transfer.

Any idea which suppliers i might wanna try for my nic juice? I need flavorless to start with so i can try my own mixes. I'll probably also order some flavored ones too, as long as it's 100% VG. I've read up on PG and i'm not too impressed with my findings. VG seems the safest/healthiest way to go, for both me and my family.
