New to Vaping

Ok, so I'm new to both vaping and using forums, but I'm really happy I started out here. I can honestly say that in the week or so I've been using my ecig, I haven't had a single cigarette.. This is incredible for for me.. I've been trying for a while to quit, but no luck.. =/

I'm in love with my basic starter set that I got from my local B&M store. All I have is a basic 650 with a small tank. I would really like to upgrade to a better ego style battery, as I like the sleek, smaller look and the portability of it. Eventually I might have get the bigger battery and get into mods, but I don't really understand them to much at the moment.

Does anyone know of any website the I can get a bigger battery for a reasonable price? like a 2000 or something?

I really appreciate the help. =) thanks guys!!

Best bang for the buck in batteries has been the mvp2;
there's also a new mod out called the eleaf.

But for something more ego sized there's the itaste vv v3;
For a tank, look for miniprotank2. It's ego threaded.

Welcome, Ghost!

There is pretty much a direct correlation between battery size and how long it lasts between charges. So, while you can get ego-style batteries all the way up to 1300mah, the larger ones are, well, larger.

For something in the 2000maH range (which is what I think you are asking for) you will need to go beyond the ego form-factor. And rather than go with a fixed-voltage battery, you really should try a variable-voltage model (vision spinner, ego twist, etc). Being able to vary the voltage gives you much better control over the flavor and density of your vape.

I know it's not what you seem to be looking for at the moment, but the MVP really is a great mod, and the battery lasts a long time. It's also not as big as it looks!

I actually started with the twist. I forgot to put that. lol But I love the variable voltage. I will look into the MVP though. It seems to fit what I'm looking for.

I just don't want to go with the huge batteries just yet. Not that I'm necessarily against them, I just don't think I need something like that just yet. I'm still learning everything, so I don't wanna get in over my head. Does that make sense? There's so much in this niche, and I want to take in all in. But I don't want to start out by buying things I don't understand and end up breaking it. lol

But as I said, I think that the MVP seems to be what I'm looking for at the moment. Thanks for the help

Hello and welcome to the forum Ghost. Glad to have you here!:)

+1 on the MVP v2

1. Huge (2600 mah) battery
2. Variable Voltage - Voltage can be adjusted from 3.3 ~ 5.0 in 0.1 volt increments
3. Variable Wattage - Wattage can be adjusted from 6.0 ~ 11.0 in 0.5 watt increments
4. Ohms Meter - Reads the resistance of your atomizer
5. Pass through ability
6. $40 shipped at many online stores

Pair it with a mini Naulitus with the new BVC's (bottom vertical coils) an you will have a great vape.

Welcome aboard, Ghostdruid!

Love my VV3, but it's 800maH. If it wasn't for the pass-through (vape while charging), I wouldn't necessarily be inclined to consider it an upgrade to the eGo 650. If you like the "roundness", you might consider the Spinner II (1600maH)

Truthfully, though, I prefer the VV3 (I have three, even though it's not a super long-lived battery) and/or the MVP2 (also have three 2600maH) because of the pass-through capabilities. I also like that I can tell the battery life with a quick click, where I'm blind with the eGo/Spinner styles (I do have two Spinner 1300s) until the fire button flickers at me. I don't need a special adapter to charge - I can use my cell phone cord in a pinch.

If you're looking at the iTastes, also check out strictlyecig.com. They've replenished their MVP supply and have the standard and Energy models for about $38; Shine editions for about $42-43.

I agree with what many are saying I think outside of upgrading to mods that the MVP2 is probably your best bet. I started with a Vision Spinner 1300maH, added a Vision 2 Spinner 1600maH, and then upgraded to an IPV2. If i knew at the start what I know now I definitely would have started with the MVP2. Its form put me off at first and now look BOX MOD lol. Work with a couple people that use it and would def recommend it. And not sure I saw it mentioned but it is passthru so when you finally need to recharge it you can still use it

See I love the fact that I wouldn't have to charge it ever day. My 650 holds an ok charge, but I do find myself having to charge it every 4-6 hours or so. I do smoke it a little heavily because, as I said, I just quit smoking. I went from about 2-2.5 packs a day after my divorce to about a pack a day. So going from that to this has beena slight challenge for me. But I haven't even thought about having a cigarette since I started vaping, so clearly I'm doing something right.

As many have said before. Whatever keeps you off cigs IS the right way. And whatever gear keeps you off ciggs IS the right gear. And the battery I have for the IPV2 is slighlty smaller than the MVP2 and I get two days off it at 3-5 watts higher than the MVP2 goes and I was a 2PAD smoker as well. So the MVP2 should last you at least 2 days
