I just quit smoking Marb lights a week ago after 5 or so years. I played around with e cigs in the past but never kicked the tobacco habit until a week ago. I recently bought a VUSE e cig with some cartridges figuring it will help me quit smoking for good.

I haven't lit a cig since and have no craving to. I firmly believe I have finally quit smoking for good.

However, I am intrigued at the idea of owning a personal vapor. I think this fascination of owning a nice vapor pen with different flavors and experimenting is helping the entire process. I am sure all of you agree that vaping is far better alternative to cigs. I am looking for some help with finding a nice personal vapor that's simple to use.

Here are some facts about me:

I used to smoke half a pack of Marb lights a day.
I'm very new to vaporizing but from my research I have a good handle on how they work,
Looking for a nice pen, very good vape quality, long battery life and a variety of e liquid flavors.

Any help will be appreciated!

how big? The bigger the better, but you might have a size limit you are willing to accept.

Was the Vuse enough to keep you from smoking totally? If so I would recommend an twist or spinner.

Do you like the cartridges, or are you maybe interested in a tank system? a aerotank mini would fit on such a battery as I suggested.

I don't mind bigger and the VUSE has kept me from smoking completely. I end up using a cartridge a day and don't feel like sticking with 2 flavors.

I would like to have a tank system and be able to refill different e liquid flavors.

What I've found is that once you get the right kit / e-cig, the difference is incredible - and it's definitely a worthwhile investment. I wouldn't go with anything like a mechanical mod just yet, but if you want the best overall experience, definitely upgrade to a tank-based system.

In my opinion, this is the perfect e-cigarette "kit" for beginners:

• Aspire Nautilus Mini Tank (the best tank on the market, in my opinion / the opinion of a lot of vapers)
• eGo battery, 4.2V, 1100mAh (I'd go with a Joytech K4 because it looks cool, or if you want to go ahead and get a variable voltage battery, that's great as well)
• USB Charger
• E-liquid (with a tank system, you have to buy your own liquid, but the options are WAY better). I'd go with Copper Creek's House Blend because it tastes AWESOME, and I'd go with 18mg nicotine strength (or 24mg if you like a huge nicotine kick in the face).

It's going to run you $25-40 for the tank depending where you get it, $15-25 for the battery, and $20 for a 30ml supply of e-liquid, but overall it's WAY worth it.

I hope this helps!

I can't say I'm totally new to vaping, tried the Blue and a older generation vape pen. I didn't like the Blue because the battery would quickly lose it's power and I would get weak drags and the other one leaked quite often. So I went back to smoking for another year or so and the newer models have not failed me yet in the 5 weeks since I quit. I really enjoy my Aspire CF VV battery and the mini Natilus tank. I can't imagine going back ever.

This is a great setup for a beginner. :) I started with a bigger battery, but if you smoke only half pack a day, the 1100mAh would be enough.

I suggest to try some fruity flavours, they will be really good after the normal cig. :)

Welcome and congrats on kicking the analogs. I was a pack and a half a day smoker. I think that the set up given above is a great one. I went with the MVP for the versatility. It's a bit more but if you like to tinker and play around it gives you many options. In 3 weeks since I kicked the stinkys I started playing with coil building and trying the different delivery devices. I entered the PV rabbit hole! So if you just want to quit and play with flavors go with the cheaper set up.

Evening Vapors,
My wife and I are totally new to this vaping as well but she has had great success with the VUSE I picked up for her last week and has not had nor has she wanted an analog. This was an experiment and its working well.

But while cruising the forums here to gain some knowledge about vaping...I ran across a link to a YouTube video of a great review of the Elead iStick 20 W unit...and while watching my wife looked over and fell in love with the unit. Seems like a reasonable way to go.

Has anyone had any experience with the Eleaf iStick?

Thanks!!

Hey upnort....

Couldn't help but notice your location....Antigo, WI. Spent the coldest morning I have ever lived through in Antigo, WI back in 2007 I believe it was. Batter died on the coldest morning ever for me when the temp dropped down to 25 below and a wind chill of 45 below...I had to wear two pair of gloves and still could not keep my hands from freezing. Lived there from 2002 until Feb of 2009....little to cold for my southern roots.

Stay warm now!!

I like that set up a lot and will do something similar to it.

If you think you're going to stick with vaping, I'd recommend either an Innokin vv V3 or MVP for a battery. Both allow you to vape while charging from any USB port and are very reliable.

The best thing you can do for juice is visit a local vape shop and try some different flavors. Taste is totally subjective and there is no telling what you (or anyone else) will like.

Bought my very first vapor the day I started this thread.

Joyetech ECOM. It's a pretty good starter vapor. Has VV and VW as well. Battery life is decent and bought some e liquid locally as well. Grape and watermelon.

Cigs are a thing of the past.

Thanks for the heads up on the Joyetech ECOM....does look like a good way to go. Looking at it now!

I have just bought the Eleaf iStick and I love it. It's easy to use, has long battery life, nice smooth draw and really compact.

This right here is great advice. The MVP is probably the best entry level quality affordable device you can get, and experimenting with different juices at a shop in your town will show what you like and what can help you stick with it.

We settle in with a HANA DNA clone....with a Kangertech GeniTank Mega.
This choice was based on using one a our little "Vapping" party we had with our neighbor friend and his wife. Alex works at our local Vape shop so we went in the next day a picked one up. The wife loves it so far now after a weeks using it.
She tried out several flavors and they threw in about 5 different bottles free.....so that was good.
Alex, our neighbor friend also gave us a Hookah kit for her to use when she wanted something to take with her that was less in your face and that has been a good deal....
We are going to go back though and pick up one of the MVPs....that one for her and I'm going to take the HANA..hahaha...well..that's what I plan on doing anyway...she's pretty protective of her HANA!!
May hold out for the MVP V2 though....better features for about the same price!!

Thanks guys!!
