Hi Everyone,

Just started vaping April 7th and been completely off of analogs since April 10th. Really enjoy it. Was smoking two packs a day for 18 years.

My devices are:

1. Innokin itaste CLK 16D vape pen

2. Subtank Nano with joyetech EgoOne battery plus spare battery.

Using 24 mg e-juice.

Is this a good set-up given my smoking history?

I started at 24 because I was a heavy smoker. A couple questions: Is it normal to have to refill the Nano two or three times a day, and the EgoOne battery not lasting the whole day?

Which Ego One battery have you got? There's the mini 850 mAh, standard 1100 mAh, XL 2200 mAh and mega at 2600 mAh.

The XL or mega should get you through a day on a full charge. The 1100 mAh wouldn't stretch that far for me personally.

Refilling the nano two times a day isn't extreme. It's thirsty work producing all that vapour :) if it's getting too expensive, there's always the DIY option which cuts juice costs down to maybe 10% of store-bought juices.

Yes, they drink juice like crazy and even for a heavy smoker 6mg should be more than enough, it's a wonder you've not got dizzy or sick on 24mg, especially if your lung hitting with full air which is what these tanks are designed for..

Mine is 1100 mAh. BTW, is this (and subtank nano) a mod or still a vape pen?

The subtank is a clearomizer, the mod is the battery tube / device ...Mechanical Mods (Mech Mods) and Variable Voltage/Variable Wattage Mods (VV/VW)

I have a feeling your on the smallest air flow and vaping it mouth to lung, like you would smoke a cigarette, that would explain why 24mg nic isn't blowing your head off. Lung hitting, which is what these tanks are for, is inhaling directly into the lungs and then exhaling..you will need to change the air flow to do that. be cafeful though if you try this, as I said, 24mg is way to strong ( for most anyway) and I smoked 60 a day and had to drop to 6mg..

The innokin itaste 16D is more like a vape pen? That one does not give nearly the vape volume as the Kangertech. Been using the two-holed air flow.

Yep, that one is more in the starter kit range. Your Ego One and Subtank is the more powerful combination - definitely not a starter kit, heh.

Yes it's more like a vape pen i guess, 2.1 ohm i think though I maybe wrong..If your using the stock 0.5 coil (sub ohm) then yes, it will procude way more vapour, you can't compare the two, it's like night and day. I take my hat off to you vaping 24mg then, pretty impressive, some people have a high tolerance, you must be one of them :) ..

Welcome Gilligan!

Congrats! I have the Subtank Nano (among a couple of other tanks) and I really like it. Yes, you can slurp through a lot of juice with those. I generally go through about 2 or 3 tanks a day of that size tank. Sounds like you have some good gear - much better starter stuff than what I used a year ago :D However, my upgrade process has been a ton of fun!

Make yourself at home :)
